Bean (my Frenchie) and I have enjoyed many breakfasts & lunches with friends. Great food and friendly folks.
I love the beet salad. I order a turkey burger on the side. You can bring a book or your laptop and sit outside all day and the staff won't bother you at all. They have free wi-fi.
Happy Hour is killer [although it ends about 30 minutes or an hour too early imo]. So far each appetizer is good except the chicken tenders. They always seem to come out dry 😪. Beer selection is 👍.

Morning staff is always great and friendly, unlike their horrible sister cafe The Grind (Venice), Try the biscuits and gravy and coffee!

The wood has fallen to the dogs. Soggy pancakes, hair in my eggs, limp bacon. I used to eat here twice a day! Every single time there is something wrong with my order now! Dmitry fix your biz!

Excellent breakfast options - I love their take on eggs benedict. A day that starts at The Wood usually end up being a good day...
Adriana LemusNovember 29, 2015Contrary to tips left by other people, this establishment is NOT dog friendly.- Delicious food but plan on having a two hour long lunch. Service has gone from slow to slower. Oh, and good luck with the "friendly" staff.
angela pabloJanuary 7, 2012can't go wrong w/ their burgers - deelish (haven't tried the veggie yet!)- The day crew rocks. Mara, D, and Jesse are on point and super friendly. The night crew is lacking the same vibe as the day crew.
$3 Fat Tire pints from 4 - 7 p.m.! + Great food + Great Service. The fried okra is amazing!
John FJune 11, 2014Really rude. Will never go back. Went in to use a Groupon and was turned away. The place was only 25% full on a Wednesday night and they said we had to call ahead and make a reservation.
If you like strong espresso, ask for a cuban red eye. Only Phil knows how to make it.
