Tsukune (Chicken Meatball) is very good... They use to have a different style of cooking on coal but now it's just a regular grill. I miss that but the food is still good. My favorite Yakitori place

What you will see are tables filled with Japanese businessmen, getting something here that's more Tokyo than TriBeCa. Try the tuna neck, a bony, fatty, almost musky cut...'Tokyo in New York' Read more

The prix fixe Ju-bako ($35) and the Aburiya Set ($25) bring a variety of items. The tofu is delicately soft, the sea bass and salmon sashimi delicate and buttery, the Wasu steak artfully flavored. Read more

Typical and authentic Japanese restaurant. Go also for the set menu at lunch time very affordable and well prepared. At night go omakase for some very good sashimi, stews and Yakitori.

Sashimi here is amazing, as is scallops grilled on salt because it comes served on a brick sized piece of hot salt. And the Tsukune (Chicken Meatball Skewers) has a surprise onsen egg dipping sauce.

This Japanese Robata grill, set in an intimate, dark-wooded space, offers an array of proteins to choose from, like a couple of Waygu beef cuts, lamb chops, pork belly, and chicken thigh.

Excellent! Wonderful ambiance ...one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to....anywhere. Don't miss the teriyaki chicken, grilled beef and ginger pork rice. Great service. Very authentic.

Sautéed noodles is pretty amazing. Crispy noodles due to the hot pot it's cooked in and just really delicious seasoning. Plum wine with hints of earl gray was also incredibly memorable.

Don't come here searching for a Philadelphia roll - this place is super authentic, where Japanese come to eat Japanese. Food & ambience were outstanding. Teriyaki Chicken was to die for.

When in the mood for Japanese or just seafood in general Aburiya is the perfect place. We always get started off with the super-fresh crab salad, and our favorite entrée is the miso cod.

Think of it as Japanese tapas--best shared and enjoyed. There are so many great options to choose from but the must-have is always the Tsukune (Grilled Ground Chicken).

The salmon sashimi and scallops were good but I’d say they need to work on the quality of their cuts going forward. The tuna, pork and beef were chewy and hard to swallow.

This place has lost its grilled meats on paddles and consequently, part of its mojo. Still up to snuff: Okinawa stir fry, fish collar, Kamameshi rice pots, sauteed noodles in stone pot.
