- MK McKenzieJune 12, 2018Hike up the Filbert Stairs for a scenic route! Elevator only fits 8 at a time, so it’s a bit slow going to get up/down. Weekdays are best for avoiding long lines. Unreal views on a clear day!
- Marcel FelderApril 2, 2017A MUST-SEE when visiting San Francisco! You have to wait for some minutes but it's worth it! I recommend this on your first day because it will you provide you with a 360-degree great overview!

- AdleyOctober 2, 2017The best view tower i have been too. Great view to all sides of the city and the tickets are not expensive at all. GREAT!
- GloverboyApril 16, 2019An oasis on top of the city with views across the bay, exotic gardens and hummingbirds. What more do you want?
- TonyJune 23, 2017The view you get from the top of the tower on a nice day is spectacular. That's ultimately what this place is about so if you have a nice camera you'll get some pretty amazing shots. $8 per person.
- MariJune 23, 2018So many stairs...but seriously, walking up these stairs, you feel like you’re not even in a city anymore.
- Tony XerriMay 20, 2013Best place to get pictures of the city, period. Be mindful of other people waiting to take a picture in certain corners and be sure to come a little bit before sunset if you want to get the best shot.
- Bre RozApril 14, 2015There are stairs to the east of the tower; take them down (or up). The foliage smells amazing and you can peak at the expensive cliff side homes.
- AbhishekFebruary 22, 2015Stunning views of the city from the top of the tower. Ask the attendant to open up the glass windows for taking photographs of Oakland Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge and downtown SFO.
- Varoujan PanosyanSeptember 29, 2016Definitely a workout to get there on foot, but the view it offers of the city is worth it
- Martin BroadhurstNovember 26, 2013If you walk up the hill be prepared for a pretty serious set of stairs to climb. Also, try to go at dusk when the views are nice. They'd be even better if they removed a couple of the trees up there.
- Clive McNabbDecember 16, 2019Great views over the city. Don't overlook or ignore the murals though. There is some interesting items in the detail
- Sid SinghMarch 6, 2015Walk up the filbert steps and look out for the wonderful neighborhood. Coit tower in itself is a marvelous place with fantastic views
- Cory O'BrienJanuary 20, 2012For the full experience, park at the bottom of the hill and hike to the top. You'll pass through one of the most interesting neighborhoods in the city, and you'll be rewarded at the top with a view!
- Aaron CruzJuly 26, 2014360 degree views of San Fran up-top the tower on Telegraph Hill. Parking, traffic issues at peak times so walking the Greenwich or Filbert stairs to get to is popular.
- Cass GrimmJuly 31, 2017The line was SUPER long so we didn't go up but the view was still worth it at the top and the flowers on the path up the hill were also super beautiful.
- The Ritz-CarltonJuly 27, 2015Since it was established in 1933, Coit Tower has been an emblem of the San Francisco skyline offering a 360 view of the city, the Bay and Golden Gate Bridge.
- Brett GarwoodDecember 20, 2016Pretty cool place to stop at for bit. Closes somewhat early so check it out during normal work hours. Good views up there, but rough parking.
- J.j. HabenichtJuly 6, 2013If you stop by here, dont forget to hit up twin peaks (not that twin peaks). The wind is awesome and its got a great view and no safety glass. (Damn those smart people...)
- Christian LeaJanuary 13, 2013Definetely a must do, when you're in SF. You should take the steps to make the amazing view even more rewarding. I took the ones from Greenwich Street - nice wakeup-workout.

- Fodor's TravelAugust 21, 2015Visit just before sunset (it's $7 for the elevator to the top) when the Transamerica Pyramid, framed by the tower's arches, is bathed in a golden glow.
- Felipe BubolzMarch 15, 2015Great views. However, they close at 6pm, so sometimes during the year you won't be able to see the sunset from the top of the tower.
- Pocket SunAugust 9, 2014They stop selling tickets at 5:30pm, so get in line early! It's small up there and when you are late, the windows will be locked and you won't be able to take good pictures!
- Ask your Lyft driver to drop you off Garfield Elementary School. This school is located right beside Coit Tower and is one of the steepest streets. Take a shot at Filbert St before you head up.
- Darren LeedsAugust 13, 2014$7 for adult, worth the long hot hike up the hill and long queue to get ticket and get lift to top. We got some great pics.
- Asher Kahn-KrellAugust 10, 2014It's 7 bucks to go to the top but the view from the bottom of the tower is pretty good on it's own. Make sure to take the stairs!
