Nohra MuradOctober 19, 2017I went dairy free a few months back, and the cheeseless pizza here is leaps and bounds beyond pizza I used to have with cheese. Fresh dough, high quality mushrooms, and amazing sauce. GO HERE.
Andrea NewlandJuly 11, 2014I had to put lots of pepper on the clam, bland but loved the chefs special chicken. Gluten free cookie not too bad :) I still prefer Red Rocks and Comet but this is close to where I live too:)
Dessert advice: Meyer Lemon/Strawberry Rose sorbettos are fantastic. There's a small rectangular chocolate cake with hard chocolate icing that is good, too. Key Lime/Red Velvet were meh, cookies= bad.

Claire MillerSeptember 15, 2011Secret: for $3 they will sell you a giant lump of fresh pizza dough! Awesome if you want to make homemade pizza but are waaay too lazy to deal with things like yeast and waiting for dough to rise.
Their basic "moots" apizza is as close to New Haven as you'll get without hopping a train to CT. Also great: the plain (just sauce w/ a sprinkling of parmasan) and the clam (yum!).

It's a little smaller too, but worth it if you can't have gluten but miss pizza.- The potato soup tastes like Julia Child's recipe. So delicious, it could replace the cheese in Mac and cheese. AND IT'S VEGETARIAN! Huzzah!

Ann PotterMarch 10, 2013they make gluten free pizza and are right near the metro - always stop there before heading home after going to Trim to get my haircut love the neighborhood.- A lot of their soups are vegetarian-- do you know how rare that is in a world of chicken stock? Creamy Tomato Basil and Navy Bean are both excellent, CTB especially.
All of the pizzas I have tried have been excellent. I like the old fashion soda black cherry too.
ElizabethOctober 13, 2010$3.30 is more than I really want to pay for a slice. But this is certainly the best pizza by the slice I've had in DC. PS the caramelized onion and pepper is excellent.

If you're getting a whole pie, consider the Staven. It's one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

Make sure you eat the New Haven pizza (clams) immediately as it's best that way (vs take home)
