- Carmen IbarraDecember 22, 2014Miso Chashu Ramen had great flavor... Better than Karamiso Chashu Ramen (spicy one). Avoided sushi because of low health inspection score.
- Wilson Favre-DelerueMay 3, 2017No frills joint where we focused on the ramen which were large portions of hearty, tasty broth w/ good ingredients. The curry chicken tonkatsu particularly hit the spot.
- 板津 魁彦July 4, 2017My best ramen to go spot in sf! It's casual and home style the ramen is okay but I like the waitress who are all friendly. Sanma grill is good when they have it on the menu
- Anna MacLachlanMay 6, 2013Amazing ramen, and huge portions. Be sure to bring a to-go container if you want to take your leftovers, as they don't have their own to-go containers!
- Matt ReedJuly 8, 2016Although the meat here can be hit or miss, their noodles and broth are great. I would recommend going with the Shio Ramen over the more popular Tonkotsu.
- K. AdamFebruary 6, 2012You can make any of the ramen dishes into spicy (karamiso) ramen if you ask—get the wonton ramen with spicy broth, it is superb
- Sundai SunApril 6, 2016My favorite place for ramen. Broth is not greasy, but still packed with flavor.
- I love the ja ja men. It's cold. It's supposed to be that way. Or you can get it warm. Wash it down with hot clear broth soup or plum wine if you're into a sweet buzz.
- Pablo VirziOctober 21, 2017One of the best Japanese restaurant in Japantown. The service is very good and the curry ramen one of the best.
- Natalie BurdickMarch 25, 2012If you sit at the door, make sure the portable heater is running. The ramen will definitely help warm you too. The moyashi ramen is very satisfying and has a ton of bean sprouts.
- Great traditional, no-frills ramen. Ice ice ice cold Sapporo and Kirin on tap. Cheap happy hour beers.
- Diana ArzAugust 7, 2017Delicious yakisoba, ramen, Japanese curry. Very homemade feel, like visiting your aunt 😉.
- Jinnie LJanuary 31, 2015karamiso chashu ramen is good! curry katsu is also tasty :) great lunch spot with friends.
- H KSeptember 6, 2014Get karamiso chasu ramen. It's on the small side so get the extra chasu version for dinner.
- DominiqueMay 15, 2011Moyashi Ramen is not just my favorite but the staff's favorite too! Lots of crunchy sprouts plus spicy, flavorful garlic chunks / oil in the broth <3
- Adam MoreMarch 17, 2017Ramen worthy it's current foursquare rating 6.5/10. Not particularly good at all, would only eat if I was desperately craving ramen and didn't have any other choice.
- Terrible ambiance, but the spicy miso ramen is class. Grab some dinner here after checking out Japantown or before catching a movie at Sundance Kabuki.
- Bkwm JJuly 8, 2013Pork flavor soup ramen, not bad. Sad they don't have soft boiled eggs (the waitress said most non-Japanese people don't like it, how is that possible? 😤)
- ElisaDecember 28, 2017Food is decent and portions are generous, but they are severely understaffed during prime eating hours
- John WilliamsApril 21, 2014Great food. My friends and I went there after the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade.
- Karamiso Ramen is the best! (spicy!) Another favorite is the Won Ton Ramen.
- They changed the menu and raised the prices! $7 for 7 gyoza, no sausage, and a long list of Americanized sushi rolls. Whaaa??? Ramen menu hasn't changed much at least.
- Neil EligadoJanuary 14, 2013Try the Miso-Ramen - Great broth and a full bowl. I'll be back for more #ramen!
- Anthony CritelliAugust 4, 2013Enjoy a Sapporo and a fantastic bowl of ramen served by the friendly staff.
- Add karage to your ramen! It's very well done here, not too much breading.
- I love the chanpon ramen- it comes with squid! Also try the grilled or fried squid legs.
- Sefi KeiniApril 6, 2013Admittedly there isn't a huge selection, but this is probably the best ramen in SF
- Chris UnnoJanuary 7, 2010Ramen broth variety is great. Kyushu, miso, and karamiso are faves. Noodles at Suzu are arguably better but this place is solid.
- 🧧 🐉March 5, 2012The Agedashi Tofu had a gelatinous covering, which was kind of strange. Everything else was fine.
