We love the hand-pulled and knife-cut noodles over at this no-frills Chinatown hole-in-the-wall, and you can score soups full of the stuff for super cheap. Proteins include beef, duck, eel, etc. Read more

the #23 mount qi beef noodle is really good, very spicy, served in a white plastic bowl (which, for me, is a sign of authenticity in noodle soups). loud kitchen, fast expeditor. was blissed out for $6

The knife cut noodles are great (I got them with the roast duck). And the house bao is also delicious… like many other places in the neighborhood, you can get a very filling meal for under $10 here

Reco'd by a stranger when walking by. Glad I listened, great noodles, buns and dumplings! Got the noodles with duck, only issue was to watch out for bones. But delicious otherwise!

They have a variety of different soups and other Chinatown favorites, like dumplings and fish balls. We never had too much of a problem finding a spot to munch down on some spicy beef soup.

Ever since I found the place 3 yr ago, Mountain Qi is my choice almost time. I'd choose cut noodle over hand pull. I've seen lots of good hand pull before but no everyone cut noodle as thin like this

Tiny shop full of old men eating amazing fresh handmade noodles. Soups are simple and great. Spicy Beef perfect for a cold winter day. Steamed dumplings are a dark horse. Very old school spot.

I like the dumplings a lot, the Mt Qi beef not so much. Since this was my first time, I'll come back for a few rounds, before i figure this as one of my Nyc Chinatown regulars.

Shockingly cheap. Try to avoid the restroom if you don’t want to see how the “sausage” is made. Probably best to go slightly inebriated. BYOB.
