Walk past all those fools at Tartine, and get yourself one of the best almond croissants you ever had in your life. You didn't even know you liked almond croissants till now.
Perfect place for a coffee, sweat bread, or even a beer. There’s seating in the nice and sunny patio in the back.
Amazingness from the counter = almond croissant, bread pudding (sweet and savory) and pecan roll. Amazingness from the menu = tomato mozzarella sandwich and roasted garden vegetable sandwich. Yum yum!
Ashok LalwaniApril 13, 2015Cozy cafe with patio seating in the back. Check out soup of the day. That day was Asparagus Cream soup with green onions. Though my favorite was Coffee Cake. One of best ones so far i have had in SF.
$1 for "mini" baguette... Eat it there and get it toasted and comes with butter and your choice of jam! If they don't have the jam you want, you can choose from any of the new jars on display

Something was wrong with the croissants today (which I usually love): they looked flat and tasted very buttery. Don't take them when they look like this !

A dozen mini gougères for $4 is a steal. Everything is at least very good, and most is excellent.- Ham and cheese croissant and savory bread pudding are both excellent. Good espresso drinks too.
Almond croissants are to die for. I also love the bread Christmas tree during holiday season.
Shagun AulakhFebruary 14, 2015Great fresh pastries. Had the almond croissant. The blueberry scone is more like a muffin or cake like consistency. Great patio in the back- Lovely place, not too busy, have Harney & Sons tea and you get a large pot of it. I love the ham &cheese croissant here.

All of Thorough Bread's sandwiches are outstanding and prepared to order. Order the Tuna Melt though, the olive oil toasted bread and fresh, light tuna mayo is particularly great!

The cheesecake, chicken melt, croissant, turnover, cookies, baguette are all AMAZINGGGGGGGG.
On a gorgeous day, take the day off, drop by before the lunchtime crowd, say, 10:30, & have a cup of tea and an almond croissant on the peaceful back patio. Heaven.
Great place to grab a coffee and get some work done. The pastries are delicious and the sandwiches are solid, too.
The croissants are amazing. Get a coffee and sit out back -- the mugs are huge and the back patio is beautiful.

Really good pastries, love the sweet potato turnover, the tomato mozzarella sandwich is my go to sammwich! Bon appetite- 1. Almond croissant, 2. Croissant, 3. Pecan roll, 4. Cinnamon and pecan scone, 5. Fruit tart, 6. Bread pudding. All with a huge bowl of black coffee

Fresh well priced sandwiches and Pastries. All baked in house and excellent- Garden sandwich is delicious! If they run out of ciabatta, get the focaccia.
