- J JohnDecember 31, 2018Chicken mali boti (marinated in cream & yogurt) is the best thing on the menu. Naan & bryiani are excellent here. This is the best Pakwan location of the 3 in SF area (better menu, service, cleaner)
- BYOB, so bring your favorite alcohol and grab some family-style food and naan to share! All the standard dishes plus some traditional Pakistani ones. Tasty and pretty cheap!
- Go for the chicken tikka masala - best I've had in SF. Also it's BYOB and takeout is ready in 5-10 min. What more could you ask for? The saag daal is also good, but the chai is meh. I <3 Pakwan.
- Marta TapperoSeptember 30, 2018Nihari and Channa! The Naans are amazing! No alcohol but you can bring your own. One of the best Indian pakistaníes!
- Jose PalomaresOctober 5, 2019Paneer is delicious, Tikka masala is good and chicken karahi is worth trying, spicy! But the best may be the naan, when it comes still hot it is fabulous!
- chicken tika masala, keema naan, and a 40 from the liquor store across the street. super delicious pakistani food and the owner (ali) is awesome!
- Nipun SachdevMarch 15, 2015Grab a beer or wine from across the street. Enjoy it with a chicken biryani, bhuna lamb and garlic naan.
- AlecsMarch 26, 2012Really great Indian restaurant that's really convenient to get to. Their mango lasis are yummy. Their pakora is a delicious guilty pleasure of mine. I like to go there with a group of friends.
- BommyNovember 7, 2014You'll need garlic naan to counter the spicy lamb bhuna. Great spot for a low-key meal. BYOB.
- Arthur LeeSeptember 7, 2015You gotta pick up your food even though they give you a number on a stick
- Jesse AtkinsonJuly 24, 2015Super good food for really cheap (for San Francisco) prices. Highly recommended. Just order a ton of stuff and share with the table.
- Paneer Tikka Masala. Not on the menu but it's what you want (if you're vegetarian)
- Susanna PageFebruary 22, 2020Pretty good Indian food. My husband and I go to the Ocean Avenue location for the most part. I find the food consistently good. :)
- If you are vegetarian, you must have Baingan Bharta, a smoked eggplant dish. Soooo delicious! The kheer (rice pudding) is yummy, too.
- Great fast northern desi food. Some curries are miss, but can't go wrong with tikka masala and tandoori chicken.
- James YangSeptember 25, 2011Ordered veg curry, mostly potatoes|carrots. Delicious tho. BYOB fr across st. Cash only. Delicious biriyani. Chicken tikka masala slightly on dry side. As is the chicken in the biriyani.

- Lydia KMarch 16, 2014If you're eating in, they give you a number, but apparently do not bring the food out to you. A little weird, so watch out for that quirk.
- Lakshman PrasadMarch 20, 2012Even by the standards of Indian restaurants in India, this place is good! Naan, dal, Kher, mango lassi all are good!
- ViatorStaffAugust 13, 2010We argue a lot about the best Pakastani-Indian food in SF, Pakwan is definitely top 3. BYOB from the convenience store across the street.
- Bengan Bhartha (eggplant with onions and tomatoes) is fantastic.
