The Malnati Chicago Classic combines a signature buttercrust with their awesome well-seasoned homemade sausage. It's one of the best deep dish pizzas known to man.
If you think Pizza Hut is the best deep dish you've had, head to Lou's an get the classic. Loved that the sausage was just above the crust and under the perfectly oozing cheese and fresh tomato sauce.
Lou Malnati’s serves a great stuffed pizza, they’re one of the oldest pizza names in town. If you come to Chicago and you want Chicago stylestuffed pizza, eat the pizza you can only get here! Read more
Deep dish pizza with butter crust! Came here around 3:30 and it was still a half hour wait (they use a buzzer!). Pre-order so you don't have to wait another 30 mins for pizza. Super friendly staff!
This was my first time trying Chicago deep dish, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Make sure you order in advance while you wait for a table, it does take a while to cook.
I live in nyc and eat a lot of pizza - I think this is my favorite pizza ever. Get the Malnati salad and any deep dish with hot giardiniera if you know what’s good for ya
I would come back just for the Malnati's Salad without the black olives! Deep dish pizza is good. Get it with the buttercrust but beware it's heavy. Plan to go back to your hotel for a nice nap after.
This restaurant serves one of the best deep dish pizzas around and it’s only a 4 minute walk from East West University! I would highly recommend eating here for the connivence and taste.
The Malnati was awesome! Loved that you could get a beer and order your pizza while you wait so it doesn't take long for the food to come. Great place for my 1st meal in Chicago
Get The Trio as an appetizer! Order same time you get your pizza (or before) and it will be at your table in about 15 min(give or take). Deliciousness!
The Lou thin crust is the best. I usually order pick-up instead of eating in when it's busy in the evenings/weekends. Call at least an hour before you want to eat for pick up.
Close to South Loop hotels, service was good and fast. If ordering deep dish, order it first as it takes a while to cook, server will come back to take your drink/appetizer order.
A new favorite. The Malnati Salad honestly one of the best I have ever eaten...ever. The Chicago land pizza was satisfying and a delightfully satisfying "authentic" experience.
Napkins are decent here. About what you would expect. Paper-based. The salad was a bit lettucey, which can be good if you're into that. 10/10 would use fork again.
GREAT for group dinners! Ate here 3x in 5 days for a work trip- totally remembered us and gave us the same table! awesome, awesome pizza and service! :) b sure to get the buttercrust!!
First meal in Chicago, and it surely did not disappoint. The classic Chicago with buttercrust had sizable pork and tomato bits that made it so enjoyable to eat.
They claim a "small" pizza will feed two people, but they don't mention that it will never fill the new void in your life caused by not having this pizza. Get a large, bring some home. Trust me.
If your from a city where deep-dish is non-existent. They have a slamming thin crust that will make your mouth water. Dont forget to get a drink on the side!
Food was delicious, but I didn't really enjoy our waiter too much. She called me a fella, she didn't bring us any napkins, she also didn't speak much. And she forgot who ordered which pizza!
I'm sorry Chicago but I'm just not down with your style of pizza. Lou Malnatis bruschetta was good, pizza not really and none of the beers on the menu were available.
Mozzarella sticks could use a little more time being heated. The cheese inside wasn't gooey the way I expected them to be. Nonetheless they were yummy still
