- Josh WhelchelJanuary 14, 2015Curry Don. If you aren't feeling ramen, this is the way to go. So much food, fantastic veggies, and delicious little potato puffs to put a smile on your face. My favorite ramen!
- Mike WinstonFebruary 18, 2015The Miso Ramen was pretty good. Not great, but worth stopping in for. Definitely get the spicy sauce add-on then head upstairs to Pika Pika for photo booth madness. Read more on WinstonWanders below! Read more
- SaudadeMay 23, 2015Pretty good spicy miso ramen. Only interesting thing is the servers were speaking in Thai and instead of seaweed I got a piece of green veg...
- cyn kApril 2, 2013great ramen and soba. i recommend the basic negi-ramen with the tonkatsu (rice with fried pork cutlet) added on the side.
- cyn kMarch 27, 2014I like the basic ramen with extra green onions. You can get a side of rice with fried pork for $5 or so.
- Gabe HernandezAugust 11, 2016If you order the Ebi Ramen ask for the tempura shrimp on the side. After a couple of minutes they just become soggy and difficult to eat
- Be warned: you'll have to wait for a while before getting a table! When you're there, don't forget to write your name down and wait to be called. Their Tokyo Ramen is the best!
- Get the Suzu miso ramen with extra spicy paste. Delicious and sinus-clearing all at once.
- John RaulstonDecember 28, 2012Came here a year ago, and the portions were phenomenal and the food was amazing. It's different now.. It's smaller food and doesn't taste as good. Wouldn't recommend it as much anymore.
- Get here by 5:30 to be seated immediately. After that, you'll probably have to wait.
- Brandon WeigeltOctober 4, 2011I have had pretty much all of the Ramen offering and they are all oishii (delicious)! The spicy ramen here is particularly good.
- SolarioAugust 10, 2015The most consistent hours in J-Town. It's open when most other ramen spots are closed.
- I saw a rat there between ordering and getting my food, but ate it anyway. food was good, but that was a little unnerving.
- Jon NarongNovember 25, 2013If this is the best ramen in SF, that's sad. Points for a decent vegetarian broth but pork ramen choices lack a lot.
- Steven wangJune 14, 2013Come here sign your name to wait in the queue before you go off to explore Japan town :)
- Daniel StillmanDecember 11, 2022It's totally fine/average. Better places are in the mall here, but often with a much longer wait!
- G ZwibelApril 5, 2012Ten minute wait for a table at 8:30 pm at night. Ramen is hand made at the premises.
- Ownership change since my original post. I can no longer recommend eating here. The broth was too salty, they removed all standard Japanese toppings, nori, fish cake, etc. Pork was rubbery.
- static_signalOctober 13, 2014Meh. The broths are so salty and the ramen as a while just seems carelessly executed. Also, they hide their 73 health inspection score in the pass through to the kitchen. Not cool.
- Don't forget, they're closed on Tuesdays. Yelp and other sites don't seem to know that. Oh, miso ramen all the way!
- This place has really changed since I was last here a year ago. Good was not great at all. Last time it was blissful. This time it was blah!
- Vivian SpiesJune 6, 2011Food is good, but not authentic. Nabeyaki udon only has 1 shrimp and 1 fishcake - hitokire (kill people), should be 2. Mabodon doesn't taste right. It's as if it was cooked in chili sauce.
- House made noodles. Delicious broth. Great hangover food. Yum!
- Jonathan VuJuly 22, 2011Add green onions and chilli paste to the pork miso. Takes it to a whole new level.
- Evgeniy DankovtsevJanuary 16, 2017Inauthentic touristy place. Ramen does not taste the way it's supposed to be. Staff is not japanese.
- Tina KangMay 13, 2012Chicken curry was okay but their spicy ramen was nasty =( I want Shoki Ramen now!
