Foie gras is stellar. Duck breast comes with pasta and is spicy. Don't miss it if you like heat. Gnocchi and butter lettuce salad is great to share. Had all "family style" for 2 with Pinot noir

One of my husband's and my favorite restaurants in DC. Fabulous food never disappoints. Sommeliers are great. Tell them your price point and what you like and you'll get something amazing.

Big fan of this establishment. Like how they let you sample wines from the 'by the glass' list and don't push the upsell when recommending bottles. Tasty entrees, and busy but chill scene.

Absolutely blown away by Proof. Better than many Michelin offerings I’ve come across but relaxed, informal and friendly. The service was attentive without being intrusive and the food was exquisite.

Go to the bar round 10p to grab a glass of wine and have a chill conversation with your date or pal. Ask 4 a sip before you order as 6oz glasses run anywhere from $12 to $20+.

The foie gras is amazing! Perfectly crisp on the outside when you first bite into it. It then just melts in your mouth afterwards.

A place where the food is on par with the wine and the modern decor adds to the mix makes for a great wine bar. Proof's selection of Bordeaux is great. You won't be sorry.

Great food, cocktails, wine--but watch out: $10 for sparkling water instead of still. That's ridiculous for a place this expensive! Otherwise fantastic!

You can never go wrong with the cheese board here. Or the tuna tartare. In fact, it is wrong not to order both. And the sticky toffee pudding cake.
