- This is by far the best yakatori restaurant in Amsterdam. They serve cold sake you can only find in Japan. Great staff, and not too expensive. A true Japanese gem, where Japanese people eat frequently
- Hei-Yu TangMarch 7, 2016Hidden gem in south of Amsterdam. Japanese Izakaya (Gastropub) with charcoal grilled skewers and Yakitori. The Butabara (Pork Belly) with Miso and Torikawa (Chicken skin) are recommended! So good.
- If you're looking for a spot where they serve authentic yakatori, and other delicious Japanese dishes. And they have by far the best sake collection. Great (Japanese) staff & service.
- Andreas CohenMarch 14, 2019This is the real deal. It’s like stepping into a Yakitori bar in Kyoto. Best I’ve had outside of Japan. Authentic. Clientele is also mostly Japanese which is a good sign. Chicken meatball, skin 😋
- Şule ErgütFebruary 26, 2019Yellow tail, shitaki mushroom, wagyu tataki, gyu-tan, pork belly skewer, grilled aubergine and tuna sashimi. All were really great!!! It can be a little pricy though if you try it all!
- Matthijs VerolmeMay 21, 2017Hidden, authentic Japanese gem! Seafood & pork shoyu ramen = ❤️. Also, great collection of sake and staff that knows what to recommend. 😊
- Without question, the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam. Sit at the bar, get some sake, and order anything with a stick in it.
- Extremely delicious ramen, definitely a must here. Also try their soba salad 👌🏻
- Brian BoeltNovember 3, 2021Autentic Japanese food with the soul of Japan in the middle of Amsterdam. Go here if you want a real Japanese experience, you dont get sushi here and that is good!
- Lisa ChenNovember 15, 2016Most authentic Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam. Feels like I'm back in Japan! The food, the atmosphere and interior!
- SimonJuly 14, 2012Order your yakitori in group bunches (ie 5 of this or that, not just one) otherwise you'll be waiting a while. Takes time overall though delicious food, great ambiance and very friendly service
- Andrew WhiteDecember 10, 2016Excellent food, esp. the yakitori. Service was a bit hit and miss, but very friendly nonetheless.
- Ina BraunJanuary 3, 2018Sashimi: I think they massage the fish, it was incredible! Grilled bar, udon, and sticks... highly recommend, exceptional food and typical
- Tom WalterMarch 3, 2018We had both ramen, spinach and several yakayori. Everything tasted great. So great.
- Dr Profressor Food Destroyer Von Die Quantum RealmNovember 21, 2017This could literally be the best restaurant in all of Amsterdam.
- YukiNovember 23, 2011Authentic Japanese restaurant with great Yakitori, take the "kwartel" eggs yakitori or the wafu salad. All the regular quests have their own Sake bottle behind the bar!
- Easily one of the best, most authentic Japanese restaurants in Amsterdam. Sitting at the bar is the only option.
- Danguole StancikaiteSeptember 24, 2017Mix of Sake with smell of yakitory made this place outstanding
- Best ramen in town, maybe the only ramen in town. Sets a high standard for the way Japanese food should be.
- Nicola TravagliniJuly 11, 2020Very Good food but still expensive concerning the amount you get (at least if you are hungry and good eaters).
- Luciano DSeptember 2, 2016Great yakitori, soba, oniguiri, mackerel... Everything I tried there was good.
- Khanh LySeptember 5, 2015The yakatori here is delicious! Good service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
- SaraJanuary 27, 2014Best Japanese restaurant I've been in my life. Truly authentic. Go in the weekend for ramen.
- Michiel JanssenOctober 2, 2017The food was good, the place was super smokey inside, even with the door open.
- Peter RobinettFebruary 27, 2012They only do tonkotsu ramen for lunch on weekends but it's killer and not to be missed.
- Hay KSeptember 7, 2015Excellent Japanese restaurant. Instead of serving sushi like every other Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam they serve everything else: yakitori, kimchi, miso soup, etcetera. Highly recommended!
- Adis MustedanagicMarch 14, 2013Definitely some of the best food and atmosphere I've had in Amsterdam.
