The best place to get a 'Dan Tat'. The shell is so flaky & tender, and the egg custard filling is so smooth & silky. They are always fresh from the oven because they sell so quickly. Read more

Best egg tarts in the city. Long lines. Always check "is-the-golden-gate-bakery-open-today.com" to make sure you won't be disappointed when you get there.

If you can catch them while they're open (a highly variable proposition), Golden Gate's dan tat are about as good as they get: flaky, creamy, buttery, generally to die for. Read more

Seriously, you need to get the Egg Custard Tart. It's the best, freshest, most-savory version of this eggy little pie that I've ever had. Delicious. Read all about it on WinstonWanders below! Read more

Egg tarts are rich, creamy and indulgent—Best straight out of the oven; Still great after an hour or so commute to a party. Coconut tarts are equally delicious. You need to get 4+ items to get a box.

Long ass wait because people literally walk away with dozens of everything. But the egg tart is worth it. Coconut macaroons are good too.

I was skeptical about how good people say the egg tart was , I mean I've had my fair share of egg tarts in my life times, and the ones here didn't disappoint me ! Go for the egg tarts!!!

Egg custard tarts that are almost as good as the ones in Hong Kong. Short of hopping a flight there, this is the place to get them.

Egg custard is the best anywhere hands down!!! Their egg is hot and super creamy and almost liquidy. So warm and excellent. Not too sweet, and super large!!!

The place to go for egg custard tarts... went on Christmas day and the line was out the door to the next storefront. When they say "The Best in Town", they mean it.

The egg custard tarts here are the best & rival those found in Hong Kong. It’s worth the wait to get a hold of these buttery delicious treats. Just don’t make the mistake of only getting one! - Fiona

Known for their egg custard, it’s a premium at $2.50 each but a nice splurge. Get two because one is not enough!
