- Famous for their Brooklyn blackout cake, Ladybird also offers a variety of great cookies if you're not ready for the full chocolate experience. The ginger cookies are a highlight.
- Place to go for Brooklyn Blackout cake and some of the best (American-style) muffins in New York. Get some and take them to nearby Prospect Park.Upvoted 4 weeks ago
- NooraApril 27, 2014The triple chocolate Brooklyn Blackout cupcake felt more like Brooklyn knock-out. Even a chocolate lover like me couldn't eat chocolate in a couple if days after that. Lovely staff and cute place!
- CompassMay 20, 2014Ladybird Bakery is a Park Slope institution that serves fresh breads and sweets daily, from a dozen-plus muffin flavors to custom birthday cakes for kids of all ages.
- Stina P.March 3, 2018great local bakery. the brooklyn blackout cupcake is DELICIOUS. you can order as a cake too
- Best (American) muffins in New York. Get some and take them to nearby Prospect Park. Their coffee is okay, but you might want to combine these muffins with better coffee from Cafe Grumpy instead.
- Emily WMay 17, 2018the baked goods are fine but the $10 card minimum is super annoying. They’ve lost my business many times because i never have cash and i always forget about the minimum.
- Tip: Basically any of their baked goods are amazing. Coffee is good. They don't have a "to stay" option, so bring your own cup and plate if you don't want to waste.
- Brian MasefieldDecember 30, 2011A bit tight - and try not bumping over a baby carriage - but yummy cakes and pastries for sure. Coffee is lackluster though.
- Brooklyn Blackout cake or a fruit tart. Great neighborhood place.
- Prices are a tad too high. Cookies should be $1.50 max! Scones to muffins its all a bit dry. Coffee isn't too bad, varies day to day.
- Try the Brooklyn Blackout cake or cupcake. An overload of chocolate - you won't be disappointed.
- Alissa GreenJanuary 15, 2010Go to LadyBird and get the chocolate mousse cake -- the buttermilk icing tastes like pure butter(in a bad way)
- Casey HorvitzFebruary 17, 2011slow service but very friendly people and definitely delicious baked goods
