- Zayed KhanSeptember 16, 2016Cuban sandwich is solid. Good bold flavour, proper pressed bread. The meat was a tad bit dry in parts, but that's what the green sauce is for.
- Josue EvillaNovember 2, 2017Not a fancy lunch spot. Just legit Cuban food that will satisfy your home cooked meal cravings. Try the Roast Pork (Pernil), paired with rice and beans and fried plantains...then loosen your belt.
- Anthony BoscoMay 17, 2013Amazing value, bold latin flavors for bland Midtown....and the price is right. Only downfall is they close early on Saturday and are not open on Sunday. The Chicken Pattys are amazing, greeen sauce!
- Jeremy JacobowitzSeptember 25, 2014Love the food here! Roasted pork is fantastic! Make sure to get both their hot sauce and garlic sauce and dump it on everything! Especially their yucca fries!
- Harumi UOctober 14, 2014Clean place for this kind of take out service restaurant. Food is good and green sauce is great. Ordering can be a bit confusing between "order here" point, fridge and going through line
- Chelle 🗽May 15, 2013The spinach/vegetarian empanada was darned tasty (admittedly, Latin cuisine isn't where I'd get for a veggie fix); the filling was super garlicky and it had minced carrots and corn mixed in...
- Kevin VaughnDecember 17, 2014Pernil with rice and beans was excellent! Fast service and great portions. Bottle of green sauce on the table - use it...on EVERYTHING!
- Jackson PeddyAugust 20, 2015Tina's food is great, from fried pork chops to sweet plantains they cover it all. Top it off with a Cuban coffee!
- Daniel M.July 17, 2012I love this place! Great lunch for a low budget, and they take LevelUp so I can buy lunch without cash or pulling out a credit card.
- Fried pork sandwich is one of the best lunch options in the area. Extremely tasty and spicy if you're into that sort of thing
- BrianNovember 21, 2013Fried pork sandwich. Get it with extra green sauce. Who knew fried plantain could be so good on a sandwich?
- Aaron BanksJanuary 22, 2013Best green hot sauce I've ever had! Not to mention anything you get from here is amazing.
- Best (only?) espresso under $2 in Midtown. Pay $1.36 and leave the change for the super nice staff.
- Joanne OrtizOctober 3, 2013Go around 1pm to beat the crowd for table service. Portions are huge so don't bother with extras.
- It's dope. Get anything. If you like plantains don't forget to get them. Cause they're dope.
- JaniceOctober 14, 2011You'll fall in love with chuletas & the fried fish with the yummy green sauce. Try the passion fruit shake!
- Sandwiches hit the spot, fried pork is huge and topped with sweet plantains.
- Kristin ParrisMarch 1, 2012If you get the baked chicken sandwich WITH plantains.... It will make your heart smile!
- Brittany IJanuary 23, 2014Skip every other lunch place on 56th street and go here. You won't regret it
- About $10, and you'll definitely be full. Ask for some more of their green hot sauce.
- Keith KaplanOctober 1, 2012I got the fried pork sandwich for lunch and it was delicious. Definitely worth a total of 7.50 including tip.
- Julian PaulMay 17, 2019You pay a lot of money for a simple platter. It's all rice. A side of plantains=2. Ropa vieja was tender but bland. Everything was bland.
- L ErskineJune 10, 2011By the time we picked our dropped fork up, the waitress was already here with a replacement. Nice!
- Try the chicken patties. Ate them for 2months straight.
- Be prepared for anger and rude behavior by the cashiers if you dare to ask for extra green sauce. I was given a flat out NO and had to offer a dollar to get extra.
