Ask about the desserts! They aren’t listed on the menu but they are available upon request. Everything is made in-house and they taste pretty damn good. The coconut cake was the best I ever had!

The service is AWESOME! Order the BBQ Pork Baby - Back Ribs it's a full rack, cajan fries, and cole slaw. I got a side of honey and barbecue sauce. Enjoy!

If you're considering the chicken and biscuit get the chicken sandwich and order Mac and cheese on the side. The m&c will be creamier and the chicken swch seems to be the same cut.

I would definitely return to try the shrimp and grits, they looked delicious as the server was bringing them to a table nearby. My jerk tofu sandwich was awesome though.

The catfish and grits...I didn't care for the grits and didn't eat the greens. The fish was DELISH, tho! And sweet tea gets thumbs up!

A more unique menu than Busboys & Poets across the street. The Catfish & Grits was one of the best meals I've had in DC.

Southern food, Southern hospitality - and numerous large-scale murals dedicated to American folklorist and author Zora Neale Hurston. The colourful narratives certainly add to the vibrant ambience!

According to our concierge Clay at Donovan House, the gumbo will transport you straight to New Orleans. He also recommends the shrimp & grits along and the delicious fried green tomatoes.

Sooo, don't for entrees, salads or sides as each have increased in price and seriously declined in serving size. No Bueno, ETV. However, go for HH as their most popular and well-made drinks are $5!!
