David ChartierApril 17, 2019Specifically, The Winter Garden space on the 9th floor. Large, indoor, beautiful area at the top of the building with a glass ceiling. Decent wifi, but no power.
The layout has been redesigned, it's much easier to get to where you need to go and the circulation desk is in the beautiful lobby instead of on the third floor.
If you don't find what you want on the shelves, place the item on hold & the library will notify you when it comes in. It takes almost a month for staff to re-shelve returned books & media.
The winter garden at the top floor is one of my favorite places in Chi-town

SoNatt SundaeJanuary 11, 2014Librarians are very nice, and so do the security guards. Never leave your stuff unattended at a table, not even a school book bag. Mine got stolen here. Lost and found office is closed on weekends.
Love this place! So easy to put books on hold and then swing in to pick them up.
