- Jennifer HarbinSeptember 20, 2016This is a park in the city that feels like it's not. There are good trails, large boulders to climb up for great views, and sometimes you can see the family of coyotes that lives there!
- A great place to walk dogs off-leash. It's not technically an off-leash park, but our dog community is great at warning each other when the city's out harassing parkgoers. Wonderful community! <3
- Erika AvilaMarch 28, 2019Very clean, small playground for kids has enough to play on & enjoy hours, woods to go on a walk. Some streets in this neighborhood have steep hills but u can take a different route by a block or two
- Ros HodgekissNovember 30, 2014You'll want to see this park from every angle. It's one of SF's hidden gems.
- Newly renovated playground! Baseball fields, basketball gym, water-fountain. The works.
- Best park in San Francisco for a hike outside of Golden Gate Park.
- This is the recreational facility I went to for ropes course and rock climbing sessions back in middle school!
- Beautiful any time of the day. Fun to climb the rocks.
- Derrik DennisNovember 27, 2009Walk through the Canyon starting at Elk Street and heading to Portola. The canyon becomes steeper as you go along.
- Not actually a dog run! PLEASE keep your dog on its leash as all the signs remind you to. Leash law enforced in entire park. Thanks.
- Coyote sightings are kind of amazing. Hike up the ridge at dusk and look down.
- Find two feral honeybee colonies within a few feet of the access road. One is across the grass behind the rec center. Another is at the base of a eucalyptus near the bridge to Silver Tree day camp.
