Try the chicken mole enchiladas, the fried skate tacos, or the never-dry tamales. Many Mexican food snobs say that this is the best taqueria in NYC. [Eater 38 Member]

Everything is good here. The chips and guacamole have amazingly meaty chips. The corn tamale literally tastes like cake for some reason - but in a good way. The seafood tacos taste like poseidon's lov

Guy liked the sweet and savory taco al pastor with pineapple, topped with white onion, cilantro and lime. The hearty pozole Guy found comforting and soothing. Read more

They make (or in this case, made) their own corn tortillas! Their restaurant is now permanently closed but they still produce corn tortillas for other local businesses!

Their Elote Tamale is probably one of the best tamale's I've ever had. Very authentic spot with the best tortillas - which make for awesome tacos.

A tortilla factory that makes masa from freshly Nixtamalized corn. Fresh tortillas, masa, and pozole available for takeout; good nachos and some decent tacos and tamales for dine-in.

Chicken and pineapple taco is delicious. Also try their guac for appetizer and some tres lechwe cake for dessert. The moistest tres lechwe I've had! So good!

This tortilleria makes its own soft-shell tacos, and ships them out around the city. Their tacos they deserve plenty of praise too. Of note: the juicy pastor taco, the bistek taco and cameron taco. Read more

They make their own masa so tamales and tortillas are excellent. Everything here is great - prices may seem a bit high but worth it for the quality of the food.

Tamales from other places often have a gross feet smell and taste that squigs me out. The tamales here, though, are SO GOOD. Fresh corn flavor, with just the right amount of filling.

The best tortillas in NYC, hands-down - made in-house, using old-school technique. You can buy the raw masa or tortillas by the pound to bring home with you.

The tamales are excellent... if you are buying to take home for later get them frozen. Otherwise you will wait a long time for them to be steamed to order. The tortilla chips and tortillas are great.

Good! The tortillas are better than the average taco place as they make them in house. Don't be fooled by specials, just order tacos.

Nixtamal's tortillas made from fresh masa add dimension to all the dishes they touch. Humble chips & salsa become elevated to awesome, fish tacos have great flavor & texture, pozole is hearty & meaty.
