Alex JegtnesSeptember 12, 2016Great hostel, friendly staff, conveniently located. Free breakfast is mostly a range of bagels, bread, and spreads, but still highly welcome when you're in one of the world's most expensive cities.
Tejas ShahOctober 30, 2014Free WiFi, breakfast in globalized groups of people, a best place for individuals/teams looking for space in SF... Go for it!- you can pick up a padlock at the front desk for $5, which is about what you'd pay at the drug stores nearby
- check out the hidden garden lounge behind the kitchen. only open 7am-7pm
- The wifi can be slow at the hostel, so go to Sugar Cafe on Sutter Street for fast free wifi and very good coffee. It's open from 8am until 2am every day!
2) The owner (P.J.) is the closest embodiment of John Cleese in Faulty Towers ever so make friends with him...or even better, become his Manuel! Si, si.- laundry available for $2 per washer/dryer load. free detergent

Ian RyanOctober 5, 2016Avoid. I reserved a room at the Adelaide. Once I got there, they told me they moved me to another hostel. The rooms look nothing like the Adelaide pictures & the building itself is a dump.
Ask about the Fog City tours. Kelly makes them fun. Plus its free and has a flexible schedule. Woo!- Dinner is homemade and delicious, especially for $5
