- Diane Lucille SuarezDecember 20, 2015$5 spicy wontons. You can't go wrong. A great spot for a cheap and cheerful quick meal. Be aware that there is not much seating so I would avoid lunch time if you plan on staying to eat.
- Emily WilsonJune 5, 2016The #6 wontons in hot oil are just as good as everyone says. The place itself is tiny and super cute. We went on a rainy Sunday a little before noon and it was just us (and our wontons).
- Serious EatsMarch 19, 2013You go here for one thing: pork wontons in hot oil (no. 6). The thin wonton skins hold a delicate filling; mild chili oil and preserved vegetable topping make this one of the best dumplings in NYC.
- Russell HirschornJuly 28, 2016Number 6, Wontons w. Hot Sauce! Will be back to try their dumplings, they have a nice variety. Small place with old chairs, authentic vibe.
- Pramod PaiMay 8, 2015Dan Dan Noodles ($4.50) is another favorite on the menu. The noodles are springy, chewy to the verge of crisp blend in braised chili spiced pork bits with cucumbers and bean sprouts to quell the heat. Read more
- Mike WinstonNovember 14, 2013Some people dream about being a superhero, I dream about eating White Bear’s wontons. Get yourself a #6 and read all about them on WinstonWanders below. Read more
- Alex RobertsonDecember 23, 2019get the #6: it's what you see on every table for a good reason. wonder how much they can keep raising the prices. I think it used to be $4.50, then $6 the last time I went, and now $7.50

- Christina C.April 23, 2013Dumplings w/ their hot sauce is delicious. Cooked to order. Looks plain, but the sauce makes it so good. You can buy frozen ones to make at home too, but it doesn't come with their sauce.

- TingOctober 28, 2015Hole in the wall, right in the middle of a very Chinese community. Not sure if this is the best Chinese dumplings one can get in New York but I have had better in Asia. Better than nothing i guess.
- KristiaMarie Pastor BalatbatSeptember 5, 2015#6, as per the recommendations of previous reviewers -- so glad I tried it! The 'hot sauce' is more like a mild/medium spicy chilli oil.
- CITY GRITJuly 21, 2014The entrance is actually on Prince so don't let the address make you miss the amazing Wontons in Chili Oil!
- Kathryn YuAugust 15, 2011Don't be alarmed if the awning says something about a Travel Agency or Ice Cream! It's a dumpling and wonton hole in the wall. Get a dozen meaty, juicy wontons with hot sauce, scallions, etc. on top.
- We all know about the dumplings so I won't mention them (oh, the irony!). Do not sleep on the noodles. Order a #17 to taste what I'm talking about.
