Ask for Art, he is the most qualified and in-the-know from all their trainers. Has more certificates than a licensing board. Really knowledgeable about sport trauma and rehab.

Place had gone down hill. They have a million groups in the swimming pool. If you dont mind crowded locker rooms, filth and unresponsive membership, the place is for you.

Not too crowded in the weekends for laps and 50m olympic size pool, cant get better than that! Only perk is walking a few blocks from any subway stop 86st or 94st stations. pool is on 90st.

Olympic size pool, 2 floor gym, classes for every sport, sauna/steam room... What more could a girl ask for :)

Olympic-size pool (50m!) is the best in town. Always has all lanes open; even when it's set to 25M, never too crowded. Depth(13 ft?), cool temp makes it ideal for serious swimming/training/racing

For those who prefer to simply brush up on their strokes, try a Back Breast and Beyond class, which teaches the backstroke and the breaststroke and an introduction to deep-water swimming

the facilities are average at best, but what keeps me coming here is the fitness center is NEVER crowded. you'll never wait for a machine again!

For the pool, I think the least crowd time is around dinner time : 7pm -8:00pm. People are even less than the early morning.
