- BaumJuly 27, 2011Take the opportunity to order "omakase" from chef Katsuya himself. You'll be served in a private sushi with tremendous service and of course with the chef catering your heart's content.
- Bryan VeldkampAugust 23, 2015Salmon sushi is the best! It just melts in your mouth and you can really taste the quality products they use here! Awesome!
- Stef TerrazasAugust 16, 2013This place is amazing. Great Happy hour too. Try the shishito peppers stuffed with shrimp.
- Jason CAugust 10, 2017Happy hour deals are pretty out of control. Kirin drafts are $1.50! Those are midwestern, college-town prices!
- Go see Jeff at the sushi bar and ask him for his special seared albacore sushi dish. Delish!
- Chase FritchleApril 30, 2012Really impressed with the sushi here. Some of the best that I've ever had. The service too was excellent. Highly recommend. Skip the hot plates and dive into the sushi!
- the best deal they have is the "Raku Mori" for 2. it's a steal for $28 - comes with 5 of their best sashimi dishes, spicy tuna on crispy rice, and a baked crab handroll. everything is split for 2!
- Happy hour everyday with sake! Great nigiri, same menu as Katsu-ya pretty much.
- Thompson HotelsMay 24, 2011Our concierge Valerie at Thompson Beverly Hills says that this is the best sushi in the valley. Go during happy hour and enjoy the $1 beer.
- nyc2laSeptember 27, 2015Great food but atmosphere is quiet and reserved compared to its sister resto Katsu-ya
- Stephen LeeNovember 26, 2011Sushi here is like art with an amazing mix of flavors. Server Peter is very helpful and great!
- Spicy Tuna w/ Baked Crab Roll is the winner. Only available @ Kiwami, not Katsuya or IZAKA-YA.
- Mark NewmanJuly 31, 2011The happy hour is on Sunday too. Killer prices. $1.50 Kirin drafts and fab sushi, sashimi and more

- The Omakase is da shee'it! Great fish, presentation & sake!!! Stumble hour kiks @ss!! $1 pints! C'mahhhn!
- Derek RyanSeptember 22, 2012Good as fusion food - definitely not for purists tho. Sake by the bottle is way overpriced (up to 7x import price), so stick with the carafes.
