- Joseph CMarch 4, 2015Pork Special Salt Ramen pictured here with Soy Sauce Egg. Couple dabs of pepper & the chili powder. Everything's proportionate & blends well. Next time: Pork Special Salt & Spicy Ramen with Extra Egg.
- Serious EatsSeptember 12, 2013Inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace's food court, the signature shio (salt tonkotsu) ramen is excellent. The soy marinated chashu pork is as tender and sweet as pork gets.
- BettySeptember 14, 2016Love this places. By far the best ramen on the westside. Prices are good for the size. Can get busy during lunch/dinner hours-so be prepared to wait for a table to open. Cash only.
- They don't have the cold ramen often, but when they do and you don't want your veins to congeal w/ pork fat-liciouness it's fucking delicious alternative that's not a stupid salad LOL
- Get the D! The broth alone was amazing, pork was tender and noodles were perfect. One of the best ramen spots in LA. Pork bowl was good too although the rice was a bit mushy. Can't wait to come back.
- Teresa PhamAugust 7, 2014One of the best ramen places I've been to. An average person would be good with the medium size option. Large was a bit much. The miso ramen is really flavorful!
- LaurenDecember 14, 2012Shio ramen w/pork. I repeat. Shio ramen w/pork. Or spicy miso ramen w/pork. You know, if you want options. Order & then buy an Ito En tea in Mitsuwa then shaboom! Ramen's ready!
- Jin TakemuraJuly 2, 2013If uve never eaten ramen in japan, you'll love this place. Salty and spicy just for the gringo palette. For those who have eaten ramen in japan, you'll know this is train station fast food ramen.
- Great ramen! The pork broth is very rich and flavorful. Reasonably priced and not too long a wait.
- KayAugust 25, 2016Spicy miso ramen is great!! My only complaint would be that there aren't many options of things to add in the ramen (I would have liked more veggies).
- Joseph CAugust 20, 2014Coupons in the Japanese ads in the corner of the food court (between Santouka & Mitsuwa office). Outside of Nijiya Market as well.
- BradMarch 10, 2013Though I am far from an expert, this is by far my favorite ramen shop. Been coming here for years. Don't be fooled by its food court location. This is good stuff.
- SlayphanieSeptember 8, 2014What can I say, ermahgerd this shio tho, damn. Not even an exaggeration. If you get this ramen you will not be disappointment, it's so rich and fantastic, you just need to get this. Sets the standard
- Cash only. Spicy miso ramen with salmon roe over rice. Best, most consistent ramen in LA, this is my opinion after trying 7 other spots.
- It starts slow. A craving here and there, every other month or so. Then it begins, creeping up on you ever so stealthily. You wake up one day sweating chasu broth & realize - You're addicted. Forever.
- Best place to get ramen for cheap! I love their miso ramen (spicy miso is amazing too). The combo is awesome, my fav: ramen + rice w/ pork. Downside: CASH only.
- They don't do to-go orders, but you can ask for a styrofoam container and do it yourself. Take that delicious special pork salt ramen home to enjoy!
- Although you may be tempted by the miso or spicy miso ramen, ignore these tempations and go for the salt ramen. The depth of flavor is amazing.
- Mitzi Y.November 8, 2019The small ramen with rice bowl set is a good bet. Pretty filling for most people.
- Ken WeinerNovember 9, 2015Cash only but there is a Bank of America ATM to the right of Hannosuke (on south side)
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014Before you sit down, cruise the market and pick up snacks like bento boxes and onigiri to go with your ramen. Read more
- Justin OrgelDecember 29, 2011Salt & spicy ramen. Don't forget to sneak a beer under the table which u can buy @ the market - be bad. Be yourself

- Oh the joy of ramen. Ignore the long lines this will satiate your cravings especially on a cold rainy day.
- Jeffrey ChenAugust 13, 2010Make sure you try their #7. Looks like a normal shio ramen, but comes with special pork and toppings. Dump it all into your ramen!!
- Christina CaldwellDecember 5, 2012Best Spicy Miso Ramen!!! Even better than the famous Momofuku noodle bar in Manhattan.
- One of my favorite ramen places on the West side. Cash only.
- OMG people the regular (salt) ramen is AMAZING...and that little side or rice w/ leeks isn't too bad either :) A must
- Giovanni's Old World New York PizzeriaMarch 5, 2013Really good. Very different than shoki. Shoki still my fav!
- Michael Eric VillaseñorJune 14, 2015There's a printed menu at the cash register. Much easier to use than the isolated case.
- Best Ramen in all of LA as far as I'm concerned. Next best is Daikokuya downtown.
