Newly renovated. Much like most of the 'lines' on the CTA. Suppose revamping the stations before we get the olympics is a good idea.
For a platform, this one is pretty drab and the heater spot is in a dumb spot. I would rather be at the Belmont or Diversey stops, but it does stop the wind better than the Diversey stop and is quiet.- Listen to Joey M. & order Malort. Best decision of your life. During August look at for spiders at this station, they build webs everywhere hoping to catch unsuspecting commuters!
Board in the last 2 cars during rush hour. Always the least crowded.
If you had a bad commute, walk west on Irving Park to the Globe Pub and get a shot of Malort to ease your troubles.
