- Chris RaghoobarDecember 16, 2015Unlike many of the other modern ramen restaurants in NYC, Naruto Ramen truly feels like the real deal. Perhaps my #1 favorite ramen joint in the city, & not just because of the name (huge Naruto fan)
- Mike FishNovember 25, 2013TOTALLY worth the average 20 mins wait. By far one of my neighborhood favs, coming here as often as once a week. Top picks: Naruto Ramen, Gyoza, Tan Tan ramen and their fantastic Sapporo draught.
- Delicious ramen! I like the miso. It's always busy so put your name on the list and wait for a spot at the bar. They have this sake Jell-O shot in a can that is so odd but so good! Try it!
- Russell HirschornOctober 4, 2015Def an authentic ramen experience with bar and open kitchen minus some finer pieces. Spicy miso is great but not spicy. Kimchi ramen was inventive and def spicy. Gyoza were fresh, sauce was lacking.
- Talisa ChangMarch 23, 2013Casual, 14 seat spot (counter seating) with $9 bowls of ramen with all the goodies. Get the miso ramen, spicy, and stir in the small block of butter that comes on top. Mm.
- This little ramen joint has been serving up reliably good bowls for the last few years now. The small bar is often crowded. Grab some gyoza and fried rice to start if you are really hungry.
- Jordan FrankJanuary 27, 2014I've had the naruto, miso, curry and hell's fire kimchi ramen.... Can't go wrong with any of these in but so far my favorite is the Naruto (with some added spices). And the gyoza is a must!
- Kevin GrantApril 10, 2017If you love Ramen, you'll love Naruto. Be cavalier with adding sauces or requesting extras. This ramen is for you, and no one else!
- Devon LawrenceDecember 20, 2015Best miso ramen in the city. I've been to a lot of spots and Naruto has the best flavor and is always reliable. Slight sweetness and best soft boiled egg.
- Tracey ChurrayFebruary 19, 2014Up there for one of the best ramen spots in the city. $4 drafts, cash only, only 14 seats. Put your name on the clipboard waiting list out front when you arrive!
- Elizabeth BursteinJanuary 6, 2018Awesome food at a great price! Miso ramen was bomb with buttery corn. Soy ramen was ok. Loved the gyoza. Cash only!
- Annie WernerMay 30, 2017Sick ramen place--traditional Japanese counter style. There's usually a line but it's always more manageable than you think. You can also order take out ahead.
- By far the best ramen I've ever eaten. Ramen + the $4 sapporo for a wonderful and cheap experience. Cash only, be prepared to wait on the weekend.
- I still prefer the Naruto Ramen. You can make any of the ramen spicy, depending on your preference. Get to know Joon, he makes the best creative appetizers - off the menu :-)
- Mandee RiveraJanuary 16, 2015Great spot to eat. Best dumplings in UES. Small hole in the wall & they don't take reservations. So expect to wait about 15+ minutes to be seated.
- Chelsea BalkanOctober 11, 2021#FabuLIST #DubiDONT not worth it. If you need a local neighborhood spot Meijin is better. But for the best Ramen you can’t beat Ichiran in Times Square.
- Jaemi HFebruary 11, 2016Sura tanmen - hot & sour soup based ramen - definitely one of the best noodle bowls I've ever had.
- Zachary LongJuly 24, 2013Had the Naruto ramen which is pretty salty with soy sauce, just the way I like it! Great prices for hearty portions
- The curry ramen is really tasty. Paired with gyoza, you will be full for the whole day!
- Amanda BethDecember 31, 2017Try the pork fried rice or Naruto ramen! It's a wee bit salty but very delicious. It gets crowded so go early, but definitely worth the wait
- Irene FeleoApril 26, 2016I would recommend the tan tan men. A big old bowl of noodles and spicy peanut sauce / perfect! Grab a side of gyoza as well
- JoAnne KaoDecember 11, 2014Fast, cheap, good. What else do you want. Expect to wait in line. Faster if you're by yourself.
- I absolutely love the Tan-Tan Ramen. Another close favorite is the Tsukemen ramen.
- JayMarie CottrellOctober 27, 2013Not too long of a wait. If you are not a pork person Vege is the way to go. Miso is great. I asked for spicy - it could of been spicier! Service should be faster & clearly they are not organized.
- Tantan Ramen and Tako Yaki are superb. This is one of the best restos on the ues's otherwise soulless, over-priced dining scene.
- Alberto RodríguezMay 16, 2019You have to wait for a place but it's worth it.The Naruto ramen is delicious, be careful because is HOT.
- The Corcoran GroupJuly 9, 2013Tiny and cheap uptown ramen spot. Be sure to come on Mondays for their $7 ramen special!
- Authentic Japanese ramen place hole-in-the-wall seating 14 people on a counter. Love it!
- Di SantanaAugust 30, 2014Pretty tasty ramen in tiny place. Staff was friendly and speedy. Crowd was mostly high schoolers and undergrads, which made it a little noisy when they would shout across the restaurant at each other
- Spotted by Locals - city guides by localsSeptember 29, 2013Try the classic Naruto ramen, a basic bowl of the soy sauce-based stuff and wash it down with a generous Sapporo. Read more
- Just absolute yum! Their kara'age is to die for! And I always add an extra egg to my soup! It's too good!
- Manoj AmbalavananFebruary 6, 2022Traditional spot with only a few bar seats, ramen with great noodles add some heat and make it good
- Leigh QuindaraMay 14, 2015Love it here. I love my no frills Japanese! Ramen, gyoza, katsu curry - all absolutely yummy!
- R'el DadeAugust 13, 2015Tiny space but worth the wait for the curry ramen and pork fried rice! I could eat this everyday!!
- Mel DogDecember 9, 2012It is so nice to have an authentic ramen shop on the UES. I always get the miso ramen, you can't go wrong.
- candycaneDecember 30, 2015Tasty!! Had Kimchi Spicy Ramen - Level 2! Gyoza was very authentic and left me wanting more!
- ofer ribakOctober 7, 2016Great lunch deals on ramen + an extra dish, freshly made in an open kitchen, very friendly service.
- Such good ramen. Sometimes have to wait for a spot to sit down.
- John LeeAugust 12, 2014Naruto Ramen broth is delicious. Noodles are cooked on the firmer side if you are into that sort of thing.
- Tan Tan Ramen is my favorite here. I can't go a month without it!!
- Molly StoddartMarch 1, 2015A small place with only seats at the bar - put your name on the waiting list just inside the door.
- Jae FeldmethMay 16, 2014Do not underestimate the serving size; I thought I needed an appetiser but a ramen bowl alone was enough to leave me feeling more than satisfied.
- Danielle DuemesiSeptember 8, 2016This place is seriously my favorite ramen place-- it's because of this place that I hold other ramen places to a standard!
- Tea BraxtonFebruary 29, 2016the appetizers are amazing and the prices are worth the quality and quantity of the food
- S AMarch 1, 2013Put your name on the waiting list. walk inside and quick right turn... it's a clipboard on the wall.
