The Hawaii roll is, unbelievably, maybe the best meal you'll find for $8 in this veritable no man's land of a neighborhood. (Counterpoints welcome!)

Only place above 90th Street on the East Side to get Cold Brew. Stumptown & Blue Bottle pre-packaged.

Nicest grocery store in a three block radius, but definitely most expensive. You can get better fruit/vegetables for less money at "Fresh from the Farm".

An excellent selection of produce and cheeses..and a proper butcher. A great addition to the neighborhood.

Fact: Gourmet Garage originally sold hard-to-find groceries to New York restaurants. In 1992, they opened their doors to the public, allowing consumers to shop like the city's most demanding chefs.

Significantly overpriced and there's nothing really special about their products. Go to Whole Foods or the Fairway on 86 St for much better deals and better selection. This store makes me sad.
