Joey TranAugust 19, 2013It's really nice to just sit at the beach and just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. In my honest opinion, it's best part of San Francisco you can visit.
The perimeter swim is just under a mile and is worth it for the marin/bridge view at the entrance Park at the end of van ness (4 hour parking) vs. the warf side.

HISTORYMarch 30, 2010Built in 1939, the park was a result of President Roosevelt's policy of providing jobs to architects & artists during the Great Depression & was featured in the 1971 Clint Eastwood film Dirty Harry.
