Bring a blanket. A perfect place to relax but the grass is often damp. Fleece blankets sold across the street at the gift shop for only $10.

It's really nice to just sit at the beach and just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. In my honest opinion, it's best part of San Francisco you can visit.

It's 7 miles to run to Fort Point (the base of the Golden Gate Bridge) and back via The Bay Trail. There are multiple water fountains along the way and even a few bathrooms Read more

The loop around the buoys is 1/3 mile. Keep them on your left and don't forget water to rinse your feet off after the swim.
