- The perimeter swim is just under a mile and is worth it for the marin/bridge view at the entrance Park at the end of van ness (4 hour parking) vs. the warf side.

- HISTORYMarch 30, 2010Built in 1939, the park was a result of President Roosevelt's policy of providing jobs to architects & artists during the Great Depression & was featured in the 1971 Clint Eastwood film Dirty Harry.
- The loop around the buoys is 1/3 mile. Keep them on your left and don't forget water to rinse your feet off after the swim.
