- Geoffrey BoothMarch 8, 2015This place is a total scene. It is a great workout and I like the views. It's better now that they banned the personal trainers. There are hot people everywhere. Good eye candy and motivation
- The bar in the telephone pole at the bottom serves as a great pull-up bar.
- Cilt & Co.August 22, 2011Great place to get some outdoor exercise and people watch. But note that gets routinely crowded on weekends and weekday evenings.
- Best place for a free late night workout. Crowded during day hours.
- Don't be an @$$h0le and park your car directly by the gate where everyone is trying to work out.
- LIVESTRONG_COMSeptember 10, 2010Try the loop approach going up the concrete stairs and down the wooden ones. It’s free, it’s outdoors and it will kick you into shape. Track the calories you burned with MyPlate via "More Info." Read more
- For a real kick in the ass, run the hill / side of the road back up to the top.
- DAN COXApril 7, 2012I find that if I bring along a nice dry white wine, these stairs are much more enjoyable!
- The concrete stairs have 189 steps total and the wooden ones have 169 steps total.
- #HOF I MAY NOT BE THERE YET, BUT I'M CLOSER THAN I WAS YESTERDAY #TRAINHARD #EATHEATHY @houseoffundamentals
- Kymber AllenMay 18, 2012Words can't describe. Super steep stairs built into the side of a mountain. Hurts so good!
- Yehuda ChatskyFebruary 25, 2015Wonderful if it gets crowded you can always switch to other Side on amalfi
- If you need to a smoke break (!!!) please do it in your car or away from everyone, not at the top of the stairs!
- Do as many sets as you can, until your legs feel like they're on fire and you can't take another step. Then do 2 more sets.
- Tim M.January 19, 2011I love the complaints for the stairs on the tips section. "Middle is for passing," " don't bring an iPod," "no cell phone conversations..." You guys crack me up!
- Did 7 sets my first time after a long run. Legs felt like jelly after.
- Brittany WilsonJanuary 30, 2011Go for a light jog in around the neighborhood for a warm-up, then do the stairs.
- Susan ChuOctober 13, 2011Go down concrete steps, jog across to the wooden steps. Semi jog wooden steps then walk across to the concrete steps. This equates to a lil over 2 miles and great for your glutes!!
- Elias GuerraOctober 7, 2010I'm sure you're very important but your cell phone conversation can wait until you're off the stairs.
- Patrick OrtmanJanuary 22, 2010Climb this: go up the concrete and metals ones, then jog to the wood ones to go down (easier on your joints)
- Dain BlantonMay 6, 2011Middle lane is for passing. Upward traffic has the right of way. 3 min pace up and down is where its at!!!
- Shauna HarrisonAugust 15, 2011Kick ass, no mercy stairs. But, often overcrowded. And very often with the scantily clad who want to be seen. I use the adjacent streets to make a loop. 7th street has a nice hill to run.
- the middle lane is for passing, not for dogs or friends.
