I lived in this hotel for a month. It's a nice, boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly. The gym isn't great & it's annoying that you have to go to the lobby for your morning coffee.
Superb service, they really go out of their way to get to know you and what you like, I was here on my birthday and they sent up a bottle of champagne and s slice of cake- a complete surprise!
Friendly staff (as you should find at all Kimptons) and a fun lobby bar. Rooms are smallish for the price though comfortable. Centrally located in the loop and easy walk to cool restaurants.
Overall the hotel is nice. The room was ok, as you can tell that they modernize an old hotel. The walls very thin, as I could hear the neighbors very well & the outlets are all on one room side.
Great family friendly hotel in the heart of Chicago - love the FREE happy hour (5-6pm) every night - all employees are super nice and very hospitable - I would definitely stay here again
Very hip interior. Rooms are small but very cool. Only criticism is there's not much in the way of food/drink open near the hotel late night...even on Friday night other than the Encore Lounge.
If you have to choose between Encore and 312, choose Encore. You'll make more friends at the bar. It's comfortable - with great service and hotel WiFi... Haven't finished your drink? Take it upstairs!
Free wine and beer in the lobby from 5-6! Join the in touch program for free WiFi and $10 mini bar credit. You can also print your boarding pass for free in the business center.
Rated as a top 10 green hotel in the country, you can enjoy all of the luxury and feel even better about it! An eco-conscious stay always does the soul good. Read more
Room was dirty (e.g. hair on the sink). Walls are paper thin. But, it was right next to the concert venue and the staff are friendly. So it’s got that going for it. I’d pass.
Pets receive special attention at check-in and can also look forward to a comfy pet bed in your room. Dog walking service is provided at an additional charge.
Reception desk is confusing. Take stairs up and then right for reception. Also check for secret password on their FB page and mention it during check-in for some free upgrades.
If you want to be treated like a celebrity stay here! The staff is truly amazing. Decor is retro with an edge, perfect for an old hotel that has been updated.
It's a nice idea a happy hour, but as Italian guest let me suggest to never ever serve any wine from a tetrapack: it looks so cheap. Good wines come in glass bottle, only.
Everything extra is free because it's complicated. Free wifi makes you set up an unnecessary account, free breakfast takes forever and you get crappy service and elevators are impossible to catch.
