Check out the clearance rack they'll occasionally have out by the pharmacy. Great savings on various items marked 50% off. I've seen granola bars, baking mixes, trail mix, dog food, and more!

They lady who sells tamales out front makes the best ones ever!!!
Though there are long lines the customer service is great!
If you come here late night, just be prepared to wait in line for a while.
A very long line in the cashier. Be patient when you're planning to buy something in safeway.
MikeFinSFAugust 8, 2013This Safeway is terrible. 2 different packages of bagels looked like 'something' had eaten holes in the bags- Be sure to give ample time to wait in their horrendous lines. Like half an hour.
Avoid this Safeway at all costs try Westlake I'm DC or Diamond Heights up the hill, sorriest Safeway in SF oh along w/ 30th Mission.

Not recommended to shop at night... Only 1 line that is open regardless of the number of people standing in line..
Terrible wine selection. Who can drink this sorta second-rate grape juice?!
