Russell MartinMay 26, 2013Best grocery store in DC. A hidden gem. If you are looking for something and they don't carry it the manager may offer to start carrying it. So much batter than Harris teeter across the way.
Nice selection and definitely cheaper than Harris Teeter. Just be prepared to spend a long ass time in the checkout line.
My favorite Safeway on the Hill. Just pack your patience. The one @ Benning Road & Hechniger Mall has been the sight of a shooting since I've lived here! Get here early on Sundays or really late. The aisles are half empty by six o clock.

Cone at 9:30 when it is empty. Makes shopping much more pleasent.
