- Kiwi WangJanuary 18, 2018Casual, authentic little Japanese spot with delicious katsu. Katsu don is my fave- great rice, egg still a little soft, perfect rice.
- R BMay 23, 2016Don't be mislead by the simple entrance. This place is great. The sukiyaki and Katsu are good bets. Service is very careful. Very rarely I repeat restaurants in NYC. Strongly recommended.
- Harumi UNovember 30, 2014Having merged with Menchanko tei a couple of years ago, you can now enjoy tonkatsu and Hakata style ramen (pork bone broth) at one place at the same time
- Ina LiDecember 30, 2014Really nice lunch spot. The Katsu is pretty good and the Oyakodon is big portion and delicious!
- JannieJanuary 9, 2013Katsu heaven! Oroshi or regular chicken katsu, you'll have it right each time. Check the menchanko ramen in original or miso. I can live here.
- JPJuly 25, 2015Classic Japanese restaurant, great katsu and quick service. A little expensive but understand its in midtown so that's expected
- ShahSeptember 2, 2014Really underrated ramen spot located in the middle of hell. If you find yourself looking for food in the area, stop by for the black ramen.
- FoodspottingDecember 11, 2010Try the traditional tonkatsu set: Japanese breaded fried pork with shredded cabbage, sesame seeds that you grind yourself, tonkatsu sauce and miso soup. It’s EXACTLY like Saboten in Japan! - Alexa
- Judy CariNovember 18, 2019Casual Japanese joint for lunch and dinner and anything in between. Solid rice and ramen dishes.
- Leigh QuindaraMay 14, 2015Listen, this is my favorite curry place and you are not changing my mind mid-ranged foursquare rating!
- Fernando FigueroaMarch 4, 2015Really nice and authentic Japanese restaurant. The katsu is very good.
- Travis SwinglerAugust 28, 2013Refreshing and well rounded ramen. First timers try the basic "white" ramen.
- Zx WangOctober 27, 2015Good enough. Though I do wish the spicy ramen could be more spicy and less salted.
- Kenny RufinoAugust 4, 2011Their menu changed recently so make sure you ask for the Berkshire pork (not the regular).
- it's hard to say at $16 Katsu is a "lunch special"..but the food is dope. chase it down with a Asahi.
- Chris GampatApril 7, 2018This is the absolute worst ramen experience I’ve ever had. The pork was rotten.
- Karmun T.April 4, 2013Bad. The tonkatsu consists of frozen hunks of chewy meat in a sodium bomb of a broth
- Alberto Massao AokiJanuary 14, 2016Excelente Kare. Um restaurante japonês para quem gosta de comida quente japonesa, especialmente as de "inverno". Almoço com ótimo custo x Benefício, porém com filas. O PubKei em São Paulo é melhor!
