The place is spacious and you can enjoy either with a large group of friends or a small group. They have a nice room to play pool which is entertaining. £1.50 for each game.

Visited during the recent cider festival and was pleasantly surprised with the decor (circa fairy lights and hay on the floor on one side), the awesome service and lively atmosphere. Recommended!

Came for a Sunday roast which was epic. Yummy Yorkshire pudding, sprouts were slightly under cooked, lamb was delicious. Great beer garden out the back with nice heaters

Nice and warm venue with a back garden and many rooms, and white Vedett on tap :) to avoid during a match though, otherwise you won't be able to move

Tucked away in an alley off of London's bustling finance district, the pub is notorious for its fantastic fish & chips. Added bonus: a free pint is offered with each order. Cheers.

Good pub with a lively atmosphere. In the summer after work, there's a great beer garden where everyone congregates until late in the evening

A brilliant old-school English pub, with the requisite crowd of football-lovers hanging out in front, with a patio & second bar in back.

Looking for the after work drink and maybe some footy? This is the place to go. Good selection of ales and quick staff. Might be a bit packed though.

This trendy twist on a traditional boozer is one of the few places to soak up the sun near the City. The barbecue is currently in action weekdays and Saturdays from noon, weather permitting. Read more

A place I've loved and been to many times has failed to meet one simple request. Booked table week in advance with good view of TV to watch the Wimbledon final only to receive the worst placed table.

Nice pub and looks like Sunday Roast is provided by Ginger Pig butchers. Not allowed to drink outside which is a bit crap in this weather!

Get this: Pub with good beer, good food, not too expensive, outdoor space, reservable tables, walking distance to/from 4/5 tube lines and it's right next to brick lane!

With a large enclosed garden that serves hog roast most Saturdays and another sheltered, heated area for the winter, this is truly a smoker’s pub.

Good sized venue good for sports and being cool. I've done me fair share of silly drunken antics but the bar staff tend to be pretty cool about it all.

The place is lovely and service very good, despite being very busy on Sunday at lunch time. Food, however, was unimaginative, flavourless and boring. The batter in the fish was mostly uncooked.

Fairly average. Packed with city types after work and the beer garden is just a concreted courtyard with little to make it welcoming. If you want sun, head to the Queen of Hoxton rooftop instead.
