An utterly impressive scene in the heart of London. A prime orchestra and no real bad seats make it an excellent choice for casual goers and aficionados alike.

Really loved the place. From all the operas I have been to this one is quite special. I felt comfortable and cozy, voices were perfect as well as the whole feeling from the visit) definitely recommend

Wonderful and absorbing experience. The theatre is very special. Most operas they put on are outstanding - once you get over listening to famous pieces in English. Very special night out. Go!

Great venue with affordable pricing (check time out London for offers). Ballet and opera sometimes sung in English or original language.

Magic venue - just beautiful . If you want ice cream at interval (& you know you do!) go all the way back out to the foyer for shorter queues.

The spiritus classicus home of the English National Opera. Incredible architecture, home to 2016's acclaimed London revival of Sunset Boulevard.

I took seat on 4th floor just on the edge with restricted leg room (A6). However, there is good view and enough space for legs. Great deal for £25. :)

ENO is the place to see developing British singers and to be exposed to some experimental directors. Cheaper day tickets frequently available on the TKTS booth in Leicester Square.

Sometimes excellent, always worth going, cheaper and more innovative than the Royal Opera House.

Right on the top floor, off the room adjoining the balcony bar, is a 'glass' area on the roof, almost overlooking Trafalgar Square. Great atmosphere to sup pre-opera, pre-ballet, or interval drinks. Read more

Went to watch Le Corsaire, it gets quite warm in Upper Circle and carry small handbags for the ladies as there is little room for big handbags.

As a student, enter their Access All Arias scheme to buy stalls seats at 30 instead of 100+ quid. Buy programmes not at the entrance (where there will be a long queu) but at the doors to your section

The Coliseum opened in 1904 as a ‘people’s palace of entertainment’. During WW2 it became a canteen for air raid wardens, and Winston Churchill once addressed them from the theatre stage.

BEWARE! ENO needlessly contributes to food waste. Was required to dispose of closed package of crackers because they don’t allow outside food. Skip the ENO if headed home after w/ groceries in hand.
