As everyone says, get the BLT and Chocolate malt your first time. You'll be astonished at the amount of bacon! You'll def need a to-go box. Super friendly staff and cool old timey atmosphere!

I hereby anoint this fresh banana malt, dyed blue in fervor of the STL Blues hockey team as they battle for the Stanley Cup, King of all smoothies and malts across this land. Best malt I’ve ever had.

A true classic.... ... that is disappearing from neighborhoods. Crown Candy Kitchen was simply special; excellent, simple sandwiches, chili, chili mac (!), and lunch counter staples.

One of the best sandwich spots in the world, like stepping back in time inside an old soda shop. The BLT served with Miracle whip has 1 lb of bacon packed in it! And it’s incredible.

Make sure to check out the Ozark black walnut and black cherry ice cream or the legendary milkshake -- if you can drink five in half an hour, they're all free. http://bit.ly/11JWTO3

This place is cool, love the early 1900's vibe. The area around it is a bit downtrodden unfortunately but it is worth the trip...during daylight hours.

There's usually a line out the door and for good reason: the chocolate milkshake. The only reason not to get it is if you are lactose intolerant. And even then it's still a toss up.

Marshmallow malt, BLT, Rueben, jawbreakers, chocolate. Do not worry about the line. It moves fast, and in the end you won’t complain about it anyway. This is a St. Louis treasure.

This is a St. Louis landmark since 1913. This place makes its own candy. The milkshakes are made the old-fashioned way & there's a BLT Sandwich that's loaded with large amounts of bacon.

Crown Candy is a family-owned diner that's been in St. Louis for over 100 years. Serving traditional lunch fare, the real reason to visit Crown Candy is for the malts, milkshakes, and sundaes.…

Best to go on an empty stomach. :) Between the gargantuan sundaes, huge shakes and malts, and handmade candy, you'll need all the room you can get.

In a less-than-great neighborhood, crown candy is a shining star of milkshakes, snacks, and old-fashioned candy heaven. Worth the visit for the sugar high and the East St. Louis experience.

Don't get scared off by the line, it moves really fast. If you visit during the summer, cross the street and check out the farmer's market for all local produce.
