La Conciergerie has great architecture that over-looks the River Seine, a clock tower which remains from the 1300's but is also well known for holding Marie Antoinette before she faced the guillotine. Read more

Visit the former prisons of Paris & get creeped out by the reconstruction of Marie Antoinette's prison cell. You can imagine the head of her model turning to you, as you view from the steel door.

Interesting place but not extraordinary. Try to buy your tickets+the one for saint chapelle. This way you can bypass the long line in saint chapelle (which is a must see place)

Historic castle by the river. Was a royal castle at the very beginning, and was even used as a prison during the Revolution (Marie Antoinette was imprisoned here).
