If you plan to "pop in" prepare to wait in line for a WHILE. Ultimately it will be worth the wait as the museum is rich with the history and masterpieces of the artist.
Loved this museum. Both the collection and the setting/architecture the work was in. We went during the week in peak season and there was no line at all.
I really liked it,it was not a famous museum for masterpiece of picasso ,it was distribution of whole art works in certaine period .it is worth to visit an enjoy.
Recently refurbished, this museum houses the Picasso's collection left to the French state. A bit disappointing compared to the Picasso's masterpieces displayed at Georges Pompidou or Musée d'Orsay
The museum building itself is as interesting as the works contained therein, with a mix of modern, historic, and rustic features that all work together.
Huge number of paintings, drawings, sketches and sculptures, from different periods. Well presented in relevant contexts, with a quick introduction to each. IMO better than Picasso museum in Malaga.
Long queue which advances quite fast. Inside half of the space is dedicated to a temporary exhibition and the rest to the temporary ones. Beautiful building and the art will please Picasso fans.
The museum is good but crowded, try to plan your visit to end half an hour before they close because at that time they start to close the museum's areas and they don't allow you to continue your visit
