The pictures left by those who’ve left their tips have done it justice. It’s one of the oldest churches in Roma. It’s also some of the most beautiful (and oldest mosaics) I’ve ever laid my eyes on.

Very interesting architecture, obviously many orthodoxical art elements. As usually, huge, but okay, I'm used to it (in Rome). A piece of art, indeed. Worth a visit when in trastevere!

Stunning mosaics in the apse. According to tradition, a fountain of oil sprang up here at the moment Jesus was born.

take time to check out the burial stones of early Christians (who had gone b4 us) on the walls located at the entrance. prayed 4 them. like the mosaic ... our Lord puts his hand around his mom =)

Side streets have better (and cheaper) eats. Avoid sitting down on the Piazza itself.

Fu forse la prima chiesa di Roma aperta ufficialmente al culto. Nel presbiterio, in un gradino, sulla destra c'è il punto dove sarebbe scaturito olio prodigioso quale preannuncio della venuta di Gesù.

Одна из самых прекрасных церквей. Производит неизгладимое впечатление. Приходите вечером, когда подсвечен только мозаичный алтарь и отблески попадают на резной потолок. Это невероятно красиво.
