Also please visit ice cream shop which is on the main streef of enterance the Trastevere..(close to turist info box)- During the day this area is a wonderful quiet place, with locals going about their business. It comes alive at night, as people come out to eat and soak up the atmosphere in the narrow streets.

It was authentic and full with cafes and restaurants. Very charming. It's a must see.
Olaf BottekJune 7, 2015It's supposed to be the alternative area, but in fact it's very touristic. However loss of restaurants, bars, cafés. And loss of people. You need to search the good places. Foursquare is a good start.

Sidira KuriaJanuary 20, 2019I don't understand what they mean when they say that trastevere is bohemian. What I saw? Trattorias and wine bars, some of them with music. They are nice, but bohemian..? That's just wine and food!
