During the day this area is a wonderful quiet place, with locals going about their business. It comes alive at night, as people come out to eat and soak up the atmosphere in the narrow streets.
I adore this district. Narrow streets, bright houses, authenticCafés, Vespas and bikes everywhere. If you haven't been to Trastevere - you just haven't been to Rome!
Piecefull location to stay also walking distance to most poi s. I can enjoy little bars and restaurants. Take a walk by tevere river. Enjoy coffee and gelato almost all shops are good😊
I loved this neighborhood! Narrow streets with cutebalconies and flowers and old buidings and houses. It was authentic and full with cafes and restaurants. Very charming. It's a must see.
It's supposed to be the alternative area, but in fact it's very touristic. However loss of restaurants, bars, cafés. And loss of people. You need to search the good places. Foursquare is a good start.
The 2500 years old Trastevere has a very interesting history and a lot of hidden sights. That’s why you should consider booking a tour guide, who can show you all the nice places
I don't understand what they mean when they say that trastevere is bohemian. What I saw? Trattorias and wine bars, some of them with music. They are nice, but bohemian..? That's just wine and food!
One of Rome's most charming areas: medieval lanes, restaurants and churches to explore. Place managed by the Rome's Tourism Dept. in collaboration with //Avanti Concept Agency
