The waiter is very nice and helpful. I ate a beef that was perfectly medium baked as requested. The plate was full enough with food, the fries are good. On the next stay in Brussels we will go back.
Bucket of Mussels are the must have food here. there are some arguments how to eat mussels in proper way, but surrounded by bunch of tourists, couldn't find answer while my visit there.
Pricey than other musselsrestaurants. One 800gr casserole/pot is around 25€ :/ But its tasty and worth to go. Buy less gift to your friends but try mussels (moules) here.
I think Leon is one of the best restaurants in town to eat muscles. My favorite menu is A l'escargot gratinees and french fries with a carafe of white wine.
Moules et frites. This is the place to get your mussels. Snail butter sauce with cheese or tomatoes for one. Grab another in a pot: soup, white wine. Try Leon beer.
Friendly, easy dining experience. The mussels seemed fine to my inexperienced palate. OTOH the frites were pedestrian even by non-Belgian standards and dessert set new standards for rip-off.
Cheaper than the 'haggling' restaurants further down. Serve mussels all year round.. High volume... Mussels were good, friendly staff.. It is touristy but that's due to it having good food.
Nicest moules-frites place on this touristy street, not only 'les cocottes' (boiled in the pot) but also gratinated - moules ou gratin & moulesescargot gratinées are yum. Avoid eel “au vert” though.
Food came very fast! A little bit too fast!! I didn't finished my soup yet, didn't get to start with the starters and they already brought the main course.. :(
Excellent restaurant close to The Grand Place, very fast and efficient service. Cheaply priced dishes, must try muscles. Very nice. They have loads of staff on, it's crazy.
If you have to eat in the old towntouristy area, this is the place to go. Good mussels and not TOO overpriced. Avoid places with a guy standing outside calling you in...
Chez Leon lives up to it's amazing reputation. The mussels are fantastic. Very tasty. Steak tartar is made fresh practically right in front of you. Don't let the wait dissuade you. It's worth it.
Terrible Experience!just wanted to try mousel w/my parents and would like to order 2 Mousel pots for us to try. But the intelligent waiter forced us to order 4 pots otherwise asked us to leave.Shame!
Just popped in on Sunday evening, no queue and all you can eatMussels. Went for the mussels with snail butter, garlic and cheese with frites... Amazing! Thoroughly recommended.
Complete tourist trap...keep walking. We went there for dinner last night and the food and service were equally poor. Mussels were sandy/gritty and in a dish water sauce.
