Clean, safe metro, friendly metro staff willing to help you navigate, and map of streets and popular destinations once you exit into Rossyln. Easy commute to downtown D.C. Somewhat confusing platform

During normal operations, the doors open on the LEFT at this station. This is the last WB transfer between the Orange and Blue lines. Note that the platforms are off-set, so no easy "U-turns."

Very long escalator, drops you off in the heart of the downtown area. Can get pretty windy, because of the Potomac.

1)Walk to the left and stand to the right on the escalators, 2)when someone says "Excuse me," don 't be rude or snobby just be as courteous as they were and 3)if u r fit then run up the escalators!

On the escalators, if you hold the hand rail in the same place it'll be further forward when you reach the top.

This metro station was not designed as a bomb shelter as other posters have alluded to. The tunnel is deep because of a valley in the terrain. The tunnels are avoiding the Potomac.

Long escalator... 206.5 feet to be exact. Stand on the right, walk on the left. Check the trip planner on the WMATA page for help getting places!

If you got game, run up the escalator without stopping, or even slowing down. Remember, if you start, everyone is watching to see if you are a quitter.

Talk to your employer about teleworking. When you can work from home, “commuting” is defined as “getting out of bed and turning on your computer.”

Metro make little effort to time the Blue and Orange lines to optimize transfers. A 10 or 15 minute wait is not unusual.

Most metro accidents involve the fisrt car of one train and the last car of the other train. Avoid the first and last cars of a train to significantly improve your survival chances.
