Clean, safe metro, friendly metro staff willing to help you navigate, and map of streets and popular destinations once you exit into Rossyln. Easy commute to downtown D.C. Somewhat confusing platform
During normal operations, the doors open on the LEFT at this station. This is the last WB transfer between the Orange and Blue lines. Note that the platforms are off-set, so no easy "U-turns."
1)Walk to the left and stand to the right on the escalators, 2)when someone says "Excuse me," don 't be rude or snobby just be as courteous as they were and 3)if u r fit then run up the escalators!
This metro station was not designed as a bomb shelter as other posters have alluded to. The tunnel is deep because of a valley in the terrain. The tunnels are avoiding the Potomac.
If you got game, run up the escalator without stopping, or even slowing down. Remember, if you start, everyone is watching to see if you are a quitter.
Most metro accidents involve the fisrt car of one train and the last car of the other train. Avoid the first and last cars of a train to significantly improve your survival chances.
