Awesome Chicago spot right on the river. Seating outside is best if weather permits. Filet, whipped potatoes and that bread. A last meal wish. I also love the raspberrymartini.
The food is delicious. Our waiter was professional and all evening was amazing. Try lobster tail & steak plus two sides. also nutela creme brulé. heaven in mouth
The riverside location of this steak-and-chops joint is such a big part of Chicago’s vibe that it may surprise you to learn it’s not a Windy City original (the chain started in New York in 1977). Read more
Fantastic place for diner+drinks. A little noisy -nothing above the average- space at the counter bar, super friendly staff and highly recommended options: Filet Mignon, Spicy Shrimps & sundaedessert
Is that type of old bistro with good steaks. Their salads are gigantic, beef tartare is good and they have a cauliflower dish which is particularly tasty. Terrace is great for a lunch.
The crab cake is an awesome appetizer! Don't overlook the Mac & Cheese options as a side (they come in half sizes if a full is too much). Great atmosphere!
If possible have a seat outside with the river and a little chicaho theatreview. Steak is delicious, waiters are very professional. We had an amazing night.
The bone-in rib steak and Kansas Citysirloin pack in loads flavor, but you won’t go wrong with an Australian lobster tail or grilled swordfish. The fantastic shrimp cocktail is worth the $17 splurge. Read more
Catch a drink on the patio when the sun is out. Great views, total Chicago experience. We were there for a drink and a snack. Martinis were great., Had fries (nit bad). Service outstanding.
We came there for lunch, enjoyed very good food, fantastic beefbacon, service was OK - not bad but not exceptional, ambiance is a little oldish and somewhat stuck up but a very solid place
Great table for 7 in a small private room near the front door. Had the "seafoodbouquet" appetizer for all 7 of us and barely ate it all. It was great... even for a steak house.
Enjoy this combination: Smith & Wollensky “Private Reserve” Sauvignon Blanc. crisp, elegant and fresh wine with citrus, ripe mango and melon notes - paired with Signature ShellfishBouquet.
It’s time for a little tax relief – Enjoy our Wollensky ButcherBurger for only $7! Available daily for Lunch until 6 PM when you checkin and "LIKE" us. Now thru end of April 2012.
Had the bone-in ribeye and thought that I would never get to the bone. Man, there is a lot of beef on that plate! This is a great place for a displaced Texan to go to get his fill of steak. Read more
This place is overpriced and mediocre. The server was totally lacking in restaurant experience. Paid $12 to add two overcooked shrimp to a salad. Had a clearly short pour for a $13 glass of wine.
I had the rib eye and the part that wasn't full of chewy grizzle was very good. Unfortunately, not enough of the steak was edible. Next time, I'm sticking with Morton's, Carson 's, and Lawrey's.
Pass on this one. Went last night. 2 out of 5 meals were sub-par. The bone inrib was nearly all gristle, reminiscent of a Ponderosa steakhouse. The fish was overcooked and dry. Salmonceviche was bad
The ultimate steakhouse in the city that knows its steak. An impressive view of the Chicago River and features a large outdoor patio. For more casual fare or a relaxing cocktail hour, visit Wollensky’s Grill on the lower floor.
