- Harlem AmbassadorJune 4, 2013A renovation is in progress. Built in the 1950's was considered art. Now Jersey buses and an occasional jaunt upstate. Less crowded than it's downtown cousin & not nearly as accessible. Tired stores.
- Brian LambJuly 29, 2014Take the jitney busses on the lower level for locations like Fort Lee Cliffside park, North Bergen, Paterson etc. just make sure you get on the correct one so you don't get taken the wrong way.
- the local bronx and manhattan mta busses stop outside all around the station. southside is the end of the bus lines. eastside and northside are where you wait for them when they get going again.
- Lots of buses of if you want to get off at fort lee. Nice waiting area as well with a clean bathroom. A new grocery store opened up recently in he terminal as well.
- Take NJT instead because if is much safer. My only concern about the jitney buses is the condition and the waiting period at Bridge Plaza before entering the heights.
- Great Views of the George Washington Bridge and the surrounding area ;)
- Barbara GlicksteinJuly 6, 2013No one here on weekends to direct you or sell you tickets for bus. Bring cash. Poor information on platform location for bus routes posted so plan extra travel time to figure it out on your own.
- Rosalyn C.April 20, 2019Greyhound service to DC leaves across the street and not in the regular lanes inside the terminal. Check yours, just to be sure :)
- During construction: Rockland coaches are at position A. Jitneys are position B.
- Jin MoonJanuary 26, 2015If you're going to new jersey from here prepare for worse. Renovation doesn't look like they will finish until 2016. Buying tickets other than nj transit is a pain. Cash only for coach usa.
- If you take Rockland Coaches, use their Facebook page to check for delays. They never tell the poor folks at the ticket window what's going on
- Sophie HebdidgeNovember 26, 2016Under-renovation. Nothing exciting but was able to get my bus after asking a few people where from.
- Currently under construction and the most unorganized bus station. No gates and no walls so you can wait in the cold
- Used to be the cheapest way to cross the bridge but now it's a rip off! Over a dollar vs other options, don't do it unless you need to!
- Buy a ticket to expedite boarding. If you must pay don't give a $20 bill at 7am and expect driver to have change!
- Small private vans are pretty much same cost as public transit over the bridge and come more often
- Whatever happen to the renovation project? This is some shady shit. Uptown I'd always suffering.
- There's no need to use tickets, you can pay cash on the 178!
- If you are waiting for a NJT bus, and it's cold, you can wait downstairs and watch the monitors for your bus to arrive.
- Use the small private vans instead of the major lines (NJT, R&T). They run every 10 minutes.
- If Going To Fort Lee, Take The Green and White Bus(Express Service) They Run More Often.
- The Plantains are dirt cheap out here papo! Shouts to the dominicans!
- John SantosJuly 21, 2010No AC... So on hot summer days, try to stay away from "you know who" who smells like "you know what"...
