Awesome BBQ. By far the best I've ever had. 3 Meat platter: beef brisket, spicy sausage and Pork Ribs. Side of Austin baked beans and Jambalaya Texana. Can't forget the jalapeño bread & pecan pie!!
BBQ with that famous Goode flair! The Jalapeno Cheese Bread and Sweet Water Duck are new BBQ faves. Need to feed an army? Grab one of their bulk party packs! Pop by for lunch or dinner any day.
Three meat plate : brisket, ribs and sausage. Solid but I like my brisket fatty. Maybe it's a Houston thing. Ribs are done well, with some chew left and paired well with that sauce.
We take guests from out of town here on their first night. They talk about it all weekend and sometimes want to go back the next day. Brisket sandwich on jalapeño bread with raw onion is my favorite.
Everything is good here, but I particularly love the ribs. The true test, in my opinion, is whether or not they taste better with or without sauce. These require none, which mean they are awesome!
I had the.3 meats plate, beef and sausage were delicious the ribs weren't as good. The prices are definitely on the high range. Around 20 bucks a person, you have been warned.
Brisket is the bomb! Not much meat on the ribs. Tasty BBQ sauce. My fave Houston BBQ spot & love sitting on the patio listening to the Country oldies on a sunny day!
Can't eat brisket anywhere else in Houston and say it's better. Great menu, lots of beers, and sit outside. It's almost like your own personal Texas BBQ!
This is a true Texan BBQ place. I love the way it smells as soon as you get out of your car. The dark pannel walls, the massive menu's on the wall - it's what BBQ joints are supposed to be like.
Delicious barbecue and taste of Texas' past! My fiance really loves the Jalapeno cheese bread with BBQ sauce and I love the dirty rice on the side of ham... mmmm, mmmm
The little BBQ barn that started it all, and a true Texas gem tucked right off Kirby Drive. Cozy interiors, shaded picnic tables, and mesquite-smoked aromatics since ’77.
