- Silene LimOctober 25, 2017One of my favorite “quintessential” places to go to. Think Walmart on exotic steroids, full of colors, smells, narrow, and crowded. Rows of food, electronics, clothes, cookware, complete with gold.
- The old mustafa is quite crowded, the new one is less crowd and everything neat display. FYI the items is all the same. Their pharmacy is much cheaper than Watson and guardian.

- Saffron: Probably the most expensive food in the world I'm told, more expensive than truffles & caviar. Mustafa stocks a shelf of this spice, incl those coveted Iranian ones
- Alternative carpark at Jalan Besar Plaza: Fairly decent spacious rooftop carpark at this sleepy mall located near Mustafa Centre new extension and not far from Jalan Besar Food Centre too.

- One of most disjointed shopping centers. Serangoon Plaza is a building on its own. The other 2 are linked underground and through an overhead bridge. You'll see occasional Lambos, R8s, Mercedes SLS...
- Jello in Cup is inedible; it's a air freshener with cute packaging made in Poland.
