Great place for coffee. Especially, the cold brew is nice. For an impression, you can order a taster set with three different styles: black, white, and with their amazing M.A.D. milk.
Good coffee (including competition coffee: a couple of coffeeconcoctions they come up with from time to time), tea, and outdoor seating for some people watching in the heart of Orchard Road.
One of the longer standing gourmet coffee hangouts with reliably strong brews and an ace location in the city centre for a shopping pitstop near Orchard Central/313 Somerset.
I was skeptical going in because of the fancy interior and a list location. But the pour over coffee is well made and the beans are on point. Plus, only 5 SGD. Go.
This was a disappointment. Went for the Cappu (always do when I test the quality) with a bad result, almost the same as a latte. Great beans though! Now removed from my Great Coffee in Singapore list. Read more
Must try the spicy calamari. It's not your usual batter-fried stuff. Each squid ring is coated with a masala and paprika rub which gives it a tangy, spicy flavour.
Main course are still as good as it is. Had Ginger AleFish & Chips and Truffle Burger. Didn’t have time for the coffee, although I think the standard should be good still.
Beef cheek tagliatalle: the cow must have been slapped silly bcos the meat is soooo tender & flavorful. I'm surprised it's even still intact even after my teeth sink into this dish.
They "vegetarian-ized" a dish for us. The waiter didn't hesitate for a second. He just said, "Sure, we can do that." Very rare in everything-by-the-book Singapore. Thumbs up!
Avoid! On a first look: healthy & gluten-free options but all is loaded with sugar including kale salad. Unfortunately their espresso drinks are bad - burnt, overexteacted and piccolo is huge!
Had the Southern Fried chicken and waffles that day. What we got was tasteless chicken from a packet and 3/4 a waffle doused in an overly sweet maplebourbon sauce. Avoid this dish.
Never get yourself a fresh juice here. When asked whether it's freshly squeezed, the waitress explained: It's from the bottle with a label that reads freshly squeezed. Wow.
