- If you have a few $s burning a hole in your pocket, do the omakase. It is delicious! Just tell them how much you want to spend and they can customize it to your wallet.
- Phyllis LyJanuary 5, 2014Speedy service (arrived at 3:30pm), waiter made a great recommendation to get the pork ramen. Broth was very flavorable, excellent noodles, wish there was pork belly VS regular pork.
- Aline TheunsMay 2, 2017The Bentobox at lunchtime was amazing and the rolls are great as well. This place has got it all, definitely a must go place!
- Trust the sushi chefs to make sublime deluxe sashimi platters; simply tell them what you like/dislike & they will deliver superb slices of seafood bliss.
- Excellent lunch bento boxes. The beef teriyaki / tempura box is my favorite. Good miso soup too.
- Katsu Curry is awesome. Also try the Beef Tataki appetizer, it's only on the Japanese menu but you can order in English. Yellowtail collar and agedashi tofu are excellent appetizers too.
- Fernando CovasMay 7, 2016Authentic Japanese food. Try the Hamachi Kama Yaki (grilled yellowtail collar) and the Curry Udon. If they have uni on the specials, get it.
- Fernando CovasJune 1, 2016Skip the rolls and stick to what they really excel at: fresh and authentic nigiri, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes.
- Antonela PetcuDecember 15, 2015Most authentic Japanese restaurant in Houston. You should try the noodles, Ramen, Katsu Curry and Dragon roll.
- Very authentic, family run- sit at the bar and tell the chef how much you want to spend and how adventurous your tastes are
- Eric LawhornAugust 28, 2013The sushi menu is separate. Beware the fact that they lace many of the pieces with wasabi. Other than that, good food and good value for a Japanese restaurant.
- JennOctober 6, 2011Their ramen ROCKS. It is seriously delicious. I always get the tonkatsu ramen (pork) but have also tried their miso flavor. Both are good.
- Houston PressJanuary 26, 20112010 Best of Houston® Winner: Best Japanese Snack Food: Before the hostess leads you to your table, request the Japanese menu. Sure, you might not be able to read Japanese, but that's part of the fun.
- Sandy PhamFebruary 15, 2013Love this place and the food. Service and promptness is sometimes an issue. Be wary of ordering appetizers because service is slow.
- Ask for the japanese menu then have someone translate it for you. Absolutely the best japanese restaurant in houston!
- One of my favorite Montrose patios, I have never been hustled for change or a smoke.
- Get the tako poke (not on menu). Don't ask, just do as I say.
- Henry's Hungry HoustonAugust 10, 2010Get the tempura beef bento box. Yummy! Affordable Japanese. Parking can crazy.
- Kris GJuly 2, 2011Really slow service. We were here for over 2 hrs, and most of that was spent waiting. Sad because the food is GREAT. Just keep track of what you order. We ended up with extra items on the check.
- Henry's Hungry HoustonJuly 21, 2010Scrumptious Teriyaki steak. Fairly inexpensive Japanese. Been coming here since 2003.
- Christine GaliciaSeptember 21, 2011Epic awesome meal, just super slow service. Manager had a bad attitude when we asked her to fix our check after we were charged for an appetizer we didnt order.
- Henry's Hungry HoustonAugust 10, 2010Food took really long today. I've been here for 45 min and still no food. Looks like they are short staffed.
