The Barrymore theatre was built by Lee and J.J. Shubert, and designed by Herbert Krapp. The exterior, still in its original form, with a two-story terra-cotta grillwork screen is spectacular! Read more

We love the seriously old school atmosphere and that there’s literally not a bad seat in this landmarked theater. Be warned that the lobby is small and the AC is potent.

the curious incident is such an incredible play. try and buy a ticket for a prime number seat, and stay for the post-play closing scene. get tickets at http://curiousonbroadway.com/

The best place to see The Band's Visit! Also, spacious downstairs...maybe a little too spacious, rather than having an extra toilet or two.

Definitely a classic. Lots of charm and small enough to see & hear it all on stage. I saw Daniel Craig in "Betrayal", so frankly any old place would do, but this theater was delightful!!

The curious incident of the dog is one of the best plays I've ever seen. It's staging, lighting, narrative structure and performances were all unbelievable. Don't miss this

Six Degrees of Separation is absolutely excellent. Rush tickets are just $32 and quite easy to come by!

Try to see Curious Incident from above if possible. The show is fantastic, but some of it is lost to the orchestra seats.

Excellent sight lines from the Front Mezz. Saw Curious Incident from Row E Center and the view was absolutely perfect.

The Band’s Visit is a tremendous musical - stretching the form in a new direction. Unfortunately the ushers allowed the guests to use cell phones, make noise. Limited ability to enjoy the show.

The rake of the orchestra seats is REALLY helpful. No longer do you have to dread a tall person or someone with big hair in front of you!

This theater was literally built for Ethel Barrymore to perform in. Much like modern-day Branson there were many theaters built in this style, however the Barrymore is the last one standing.

Beautiful theatre. Avoid the wine. $21 for a white wine, though it does come in a souvenir cup...

Theater is intimate but there is not enough leg room in the orchestra seats. Very uncomfortable especially if you have long legs.
