Wantan mee. Locals in the neighbourhood seem to like Kim Huat #01-05. Noodles r chewy, wantans substantial. Ask for more vege & they'll oblige. Soup is tasty but tongue had a buzz, prob due to MSG
- Prata. Enjoyed my prata from 786 (stall #01-72). Attracted to it initially due to locals queuing up for this stall (instead of the others). Prata was chewy & not oily. Stallholders are a friendly lot
- Wantan mee: Impressed by big kailan vege portion served w WTM by Depot Road #01-84. Honeyed char siew slices were also generous. They give a mix of boiled & fried wantans. Sauce is mushroom-based
- One of my late night SOP here: Hock Ann Prawn Noodle & Bee Hoon Soup (S$3) +Chicken Wing from Bt Merah Nasi Lemak (S$1.20) +Muar Sugarcane Juice (S$1.50) +Carpark 30mins (S$0.50). Price has increased!
- Teh peng (iced milk tea). Luck Seng #01-31 pre-mixes the milk tea and stores it in bottles in his fridge. When u order, it's served over ice & is super chilled. Thoughtful!
Can't believe we have an authentic Thai food in this hawker centre! I've try the Thai fried rice set. All I can say is 'two thumbs up'!! 👍👍die die must try!
- Fried carrot cake. The base from Unforgettable Carrot Cake #01-30 was inconsistent & overly soft for me. Overall dish lacked aroma (probably due to vege oil). This plate $3.50 +50-cents for extra egg
- Chicken rice ($4). Pin Sheng #02-51 serves the real deal. Meat was juicy. Chicken skin was chewy. Rice fragrant. Chilli spicy. Served with a bowl of soup. Vege was an added order
- Carrot cake: While enjoyg plate fr Bukit Merah View Carrot Cake #01-37, discovered their lineage! Chk out Dr Leslie Tay's http://ieatishootipost.sg/2010/02/bukit-merah-view-carrot-cake-last.html
- Lemon juice. Qing Tian Coffee Stall #01-43 serves this thirst-quenching drink with syrup. Nice on a hot day or with a spicy meal. $1.30
- Fishball noodles. This upsized bowl ($4.50) from Fishball Noodles #01-03. Tasty but oily preparation. Will have to ask elderly man to take it easy the next time
- Bak chor mee (minced meat noodles). Yummy bowl from Bukit Merah View Fishball Minced Meat Noodle #01-45. Very friendly stall owners
- Economy rice (chai png). Homestyle dishes from Traditional Curry Rice #01-60. Not overly oily. Curry gravy was thick & flavourful. Served with complimentary vege soup
- Curry chicken or fish. Na Na Curry #01-47 serves a delicious and really spicy bowl. Eat with rice or french loaf
- The area is named after red soil was uncovered during excavation in the 1950s. In Malay, Bukit Merah means “red hill”. Source: Infopedia
If you like Fried Bee Hoon, try Yip Economical Bee Hoon at #01-33. They fry up a decent dish and serves it with the traditional chilli sauce not the nasi lemak type you find commonly in other places.

Handmade Tai Bao from the vendor in the Hawker Centre is good but unfortunately doesn't have ideal packing for takeaway in quality 😤 BYO if you plan to takeaway 👍

- Fragrant & refreshing Muar Sugarcane juice from Qing Tian Coffee Stall #01-43. Nice :-9
- Sliced fish soup ($5.70). Disappointed with serving from Spinach Soup #01-16. For that price, I found only 3 slices (not thick) of fish, for such a big serving bowl

must eat the carrot cake & 荣華魚圓面 + fish cake...good! if u r not ordering the drinks beside it, then don't sit outside the pavement,many times ppl kana scolded by the drink stall owner...- Soy sauce chicken noodles ($3.50). Average bowl from Yuan Li Hai #01-18. Chicken was plump but lacked aroma. Generous with vege

The economic rice stall @ 01-44 (一定好）sells very good mixed rice with freshly cooked ingredients. Value for $$$ too!- Kaya roti: Heng Heng Coffee #01-23 may command a q in d mornings but after a bite, I was unimpressed by d thin spread of kaya, which also lacked any pandan fragrance. Half-boiled eggs were overcooked

- Late night dinner: S$2.50 only with not bad Fish Balls Bak Chor Mee @ #01-45 (next to the Yu Zhi Jia BBQ).
- Wantan mee. Evening stall R&D #01-39 may have a long queue but noodles were average
323 stall's Salmon set at $4.80 is a really value for money deal
Very nice carrot cake. Both black and white are to die for.
